Two suggestions for the little train station. 1. You only have a platform on one side of the tracks. So the train wouldn't be able to drop anyone off when going one way, without doing a full loop around the network. Add a simple platform on the opposite end and do either a small girder bridge or tunnel to cross the tracks. 2. Maybe a small luggage area for the ticket office? After all it's a long trip, and people might be bringing more than overnights.
Yes - They do have doors on both sides. But at stations, there's also usually a platform inbetween each track. That isn't the case here. You're still asking folks to walk across the track, to get on or off a train.
@@amshermansen why would people be walking on the track if this area is meant for getting to one place? everyone is only ever going to be on the train, at the station, on the bus or at the new district
@@shadowkillr20k4 eh, part of why I said it like that is because of an art exhibit I know of call "convergent station". I thought having station after must be the right way.
1. maybe use one of the framed blocks panels to cover up the small gap in the bus. 2. Feel like it should be called nowhere for now, until we get a full name for the area
you should set the bus to wait at the train station till after the train leaves so that you can always get on the bus at that station instead of waiting for it to show up.
I love the Phantom killing montage just to end it with the quiet waiting for the track. I can just imagine the MC Beardstone spending nights upon nights awake to then fight an exhausting battle with Phantoms to then sit, half asleep at the end of the conveyor belt with an open backpack just picking up the bits and bobs that make the rails.
There's something simultaneously so cozy and comforting and desolate and melancholy about all this beautiful and detailed infrastructure sprawling across a world utterly devoid of people. Benches no one will ever sit on. Ticket offices no one will ever visit. The essence of the vibe of Minecraft, I suppose.
Here's a tip, if you set the stations that slow and speed up the bus to "waypoint through" on the train schedules, then it won't stop at the station :)
Can I recommend the name Nowair Station or a variation like Nohwair? Keeps the original intent while showing a historical tweaking of the name common to a lot of old villages, etc.
This video is amazing!! I love the bus, it looks so good, and is so much fun! The pretty video section near the end with all of the music and realistic noises was just perfection! Great video as always!
Train station name ideas: Cinematic valley (might be to long) Beardtry (combine beardstone with Country) Idea for the bus stop name: Stop 01 (make other decorative stops and name them stop 02 and 03 ext)
Station Name: Glenwood Crossing Glenwood is a small town in Iowa. and Iowa is a often forgotten state in the US. (only exception is when there is a national election going on). And Iowa is often referenced in movies when they need a character from nowhere. I also think Glenwood would be fitting as it is in the middle of a forest/woods. Best of fun for you, Mr. Beardstone.
😅 Sounds interesting that lowa is a forgotten state... 😊 Anyways, the name is really fitting nicely. It's a beautiful name and it also describes the entire scene of the station.
My idea for the bridges would be to make them all rickety and old looking. Like a decent gust could knock it down. Make it feel like nobody has maintained it for decades. Maybe make one of your smaller bridges an old looking covered bridge, if the gap is an appropriate size.
I have a mod suggestion that would be great for this world. Distant Horizons, it would allow you to see the terrain for miles at lower detail, really show off the large Biome world gen. Give it a try some time.
Nothing better than a relaxing Mr. Beardstone video to start off what is going to be a very stressful day! :D Edit: I actually find "nowhere" to be a fun name for the new station! Alternatively all I can think of are Odysseus puns (because of the "nobody" bit) or using other languages for inspiration. I.e. in German "nowhere" is "Nirgendwo", and one saying here names "in the middle of nowhere" as "where the pepper grows", which is quite fun.
Hopefully I'm not the only one whos said this, but ive seen in several episodes an issue of pressing iron, copper and brass plates. I have found a mod called Create: Dreams and Desires that adds a "Hydraulic Press" that has the ability to press whole STACKS of items at the expense of (what I think is) 3x the stress of the normal press. Its not cheap either, needing whole blocks of "bronze" to create. And its not the only thing, as the mod also adds two new axes that when you crouch with them act like mechanical saws and destroys the whole tree, leaves and all at either a HUGE chunk of durability, or air from an air tank. It also adds several new casings, materials, and create themed items like bricks, fan blades that act like flat flywheels, and some new wood. I hope you give the mod a lookie so you can have an easier time on your world. Thanks! (i hope you don't already have the mod and I never noticed :P)
Build suggestion for new area: you haven’t built like a new house for you since the starter area so I feel like a new house for you would be a good idea!
I absolutely love this idea! If you happen to have Create: Crafts and Additions and have access to biomass may I suggest building a biomass farm! I was hoping the bus would be a big vintage Greyhound bus, but it looks great either way! Maybe in a future long distance or "high capacity" route in the future? Awesome work Beardy!
Idea! Because of the station before the farming area to slow it down, if you set it back a bit further you could have some really cool dramatic barn doors at the end of the tunnel that open just as you get to them, making it feel like a grand entrance!!!

Bus Stop/Station name: Shadewood Though it may be seen as "cheaty," the FallingTree mod is very useful to remove trees w/o the drill. it has a maximum number of blocks (I think it's configurable) and eats ax durability, but it is fast.
Either keep the bus station as "Nowhere" and call the destination "Beardest Moon" since you have a "Beardew Valley" so you can have both Stardew and Harvest Moon reference for the only two towns with crop farms.
Idea: for the emptiness of the old area now the airship has gone, build an advertising blimp for one of your paintings - or something about enjoying your work for the company (the industrial area!)
You should add in the mods Clockwork and Valkyrian skies. Basically what this does is it's essentially aerodynamics with create. Yep, you can make actual planes instead of placing phantom rails in the sky with this.
i know you're planning on having the phantom farm be a contraption you can take with you, but i think it'd be a cool idea to make a few of them in/near "residential" areas of your builds, decorated as "moonlight towers"(a form of giant street lamps common in the 1880's to 1890's)!
For the bus station name... it could be called "Camp Beard" ... That way if you ever want to make a "camp ground" you can use the same bus station like in those 90's shows.
