I don't know what it was but that version of The Old Closet Ploy you played at the beginning was about three times the banger it usually is, was it a specific version?
I have to admit I'm loving these newish takes of colab videos by inviting other Minecraft UA-camrs on to the server. I know SMP's exist but this feels more wholesome and supportive.
Well Mr Beardstone, as per Civil Aviation Authority regulations: "Locally, it is the airport that is responsible for managing what is known as terminal airspace. Airports appoint air traffic control companies to ensure that aircraft operate in a safe manner when arriving and departing from airports.". So you might need to put in a small air traffic control building. I'd recommend looking at smaller airfields in the UK like Bembridge.
Here in the states, not all airports are large enough to justify a "tower" many small airports, especially smaller municipal airports as one would find with a dirt airfield lack a tower entirely instead managing the traffic out of a simple office or two. Given that many of Mr Beardstone's builds thus far have been a 1940s-1950s theme, one might even go so far as to make the "tower" li'l more than a "lookout tower" as one might find being used by the forest service. Even today, the small town I grew up in has a municipal airport with two paved runways (750m and 1.4km in length as that is what fits between surrounding roads) but the "tower" is an office in the PPO. First plane ride I took was a Cessna 172 or similar in the late 70s or early 80s out of that airport. It belonged to my elementary school soccer league coach and he promised us if we placed high enough in the league he would take us for a flight. Whoever drew the straw and got front seat even got to control the yolk for a few minutes of level flight over town (give you two guesses who got the lucky straw on that flight) :) Conversely a single runway municipal airfield locally has a 3 story "tower" that looks more like something the fire department might use for training. Cinder block building with entirely too few windows to look like it was meant to be the "tower" at an air port with a larger footprint building on ground level for airport offices. I have been there twice, and while a local pilot tells me there is actually staff there "most of the time" I have been there twice (once with a club that had a 20' shipping container they used for storage on site, and once to see if I could find any information about if there was a local flying club) and found no one present either time. A sign on a hanger advertised that there was an aircraft mechanic who worked out of the airfield though, and half a dozen parked aircraft prove it is at least still operational in some capacity.
Cargo Airports often have mini van, golf cart kind of things, you could build one of those to get everything to the hangar, but please dont stop this series after this area, its been so fun watching, and has given me and my friends so many ideas for our create world
ironically, going off 1 block = 1 metre, it's got the correct wingspan for a Goose (15 metres). The fuselage is too wide though, which then makes the wings looks too narrow. Could be fixed by framed vertical slabs, to narrow the fuselage, or widening the wings. The vertical stabilizer could do with being a block taller too, probably.
You did well with this build. Some ideas: turn the xp fluid ->> xp nuggets, the plane can carry them as items. From the farm storage to carry items to the airport, a truck that have a box at the back it would be perfect! Keep this series up!
You could buy a small seed plane that would just randomly fly over the field, to fertilize it. It would give more life to the area, and have some movement in the airfield when the cargo plane is away. Also, you could use the train couplers to try and make a little runway vehicle that could steer the plane on a off the runway, as well as bring it to the loading area.
I have a great idea for a useful plane you could make; you wanted a farm related airport and planes, so because your airport is so close to your farmland, you should make a crop-duster plane using deployers to bonemeal plants using a bonemeal farm.
I think one thing you could try to do is make the wings angled in the back, to show that it has Flaps on the wing, which is a crucial part of a plane. Also with the seaplane, I would suggest making the wingspan bigger, it looks so small for such a big plane.
Iv got an idea im a big fan of call of duty, how about you and foxy do some kind of survival, like a zombie apocalips or a under water survival series, something like that. Im gonna be honest im not telling you what vidios to make, you and foxy asked us vewers what series to make next.So im just trying to give you ideas😊
Good choice with the grumman goose! While float planes can have wheels in the floats, I like the older-style of having a flying boat for this area! A few notes: if you’re doing a tail dragger, you’re gonna want the front wheels closer to the wing so it can rotate on takeoff easier, you may want to consider navigation lights so other planes can see it at night. The wing, as well as the horizontal and vertical stabs, also should probably be a bit bigger, but honestly it’s minecraft and that could be a style choice. For this kind of sea plane, most of the buoyancy actually comes from the boat-shaped hull and not the floats on the wings, which are more to make sure you don’t dip a wing into the water. airplanes generally try to take-off and land into the wind for maximum lift so you’re probably gonna want to have it take-off and land in the same direction. I’m not sure if it’s possible, but you may want to try adding a flare on landing as well. As for the airport itself, there are some small airports in the US where there isn’t a dedicated atc or ground control, and pilots self-regulate over radio. Some landing lights could be nice too. If you want to be a bit more fancy with it, you could try to add a VASI or PAPI for the airplane. If you want to be really fancy, you could add an area to do maintenance repair and overhaul on the planes. Landing in sea water and spraying pesticide/fertilizer is gonna cause quite a bit of corrosion on those planes.
An excellent trick used by GoodTimesWithScar was to use glass rods to attach the aircraft to a train that is running underground. The glass rods are barely noticeable and it eliminates the need for phantom rails or missing blocks under the fuselage. It can be used as part of a minecart contraption as Scar did, or it can be used with railroads (you can even put in a conductor below ground, and a pilot in the plane.)
I am excited for where this is going! A seaplane/amphibious plane is exactly the right idea. But still hoping for a big old fancy airport. But I suppose that would require two big fancy airports... I hope you stick with this! To avoid choppy frames I hope you make a new storage area where everything is flown/shipped/trained/trucked in. Farms are satisfying but so are well thought out logistics!
Great to see Bruno invading the space as well! He's the funniest dude. Planes both look incredible man! I can't imagine how finicky building a working plane must be...
So I got an idea. I remember that comment you saw from me when you first built the tractor garage, about a second, heavy-duty Tractor. Perhaps this is the time for it? Have a large trailer or two, full of goods, that gets DROPPED OFF when the plane is at the airport, and can fully load the plane say 2 times or something, and then when the trailer is empty, it's picked up and refilled? Might be too much work, but some form of pickup/dropoff for a trailer with a second tractor could work.
With the mod Create Interactive you can build moving contraptions on trains or contraptions. (It requires the mod Valkyrin Skies) It also completely changes how train crashes work and the base mod Valkyrin Skies adds a lot of physic based blocks.
It also makes trains unable to phase through blocks like beard used in other arena’s for vehicles. He can however use another VS plug-in, clockwork, for planes.
for the interior of the hanger you should add maybe another plane and make it seem like its being repaired or having maintenance, also add some dark patches on the ground to make it seem like grease spills that have been cleaned up because that would look cool lol
Btw, with the backpacks, if you have a fluid tank upgrade and the xp tap upgrade, the backpack will stake xp from you and store it in the tank and the xp tap will use that xp to fix your mending tools, and the stack upgrades affects the capacity of the tank
If you do decide to make another, more touristy-style airplane at some point, it'd be quite a nice idea to make that airplane the infamous Tiny Bronco from the game Final Fantasy VII. It has a nice red, chassis, a distinct shape, and might prove a fun building challenge to boot! Love your videos!

There's these small caravans that the RAF for Runway Controllers and Gliding Squadrons like at RAF Kirknewton used for Air Traffic Control purposes, it's basically a red and white checkerboard box, with another box of glass on top to observe the runway and aircraft in motion, would be good to plop one down at one end of the runway.
You can use a framed key to lock blocks into a single state btw! I noticed on the wings you mentioned using framed posts and bars so they would be disconnected, but if you placed one set of framed bars, locked them with a key, then placed a second set about a block away and locked that too, you could push it in with a piston so they would be two disconnected bars of the same size

To solve the problem with the hole in the bottom of the plane just put the track underground at the airport. It shouldn’t make a difference at takeoff and if I remember correctly you could even use normal rail for the underground bit.
Apologies in advance to plane fans 😅 What else dows the airfield need??? Let me know!

A C-47 cargo plane.

In Australia there are lots of airfields in the desert that are just a strip of dirt and a hangar.
You could also add a balloon as a moving afk spot for your farm.
It seems like it is mostly a private airfield with only one plane in use at a time, so at least where I am an ACT is not necessary.

some slightly darker blocks underneath the planes in the hangar might help sell the illusion of shadow for them

You need to make the wings much wider. This thing couldent realisticly fly. And its the reason why it looks so chunky.
They need to be longer. I also feel like the engines are too close together.
I agree, and also make the horizontal stabilizers a little thicker on the plane in the hanger

i think the wings could be longer so it is more balance. Planes usually have long wings to hold itself up in the air and short wings seems a bit weird
