As an old Army dude that drove the H1 all over the place I can say for certain that thing is an absolute monster. We could never get it stuck. I floated one down a river for a qtr mile and once it hit bottom drove straight across to the other side....amazing tech.
Was assigned to a Humvee in the Army as an 11H10 TOW anti armor operator. We pulled out tanks in the mud with the correct pulley setup. 55 tons with no problem
Laurent Cardinal you have to consider he said the correct pulley setup, we have pulled an m1 abrams out of a ditch with a snatch 2a, the tank would have to run otherwise there is 50 square meters of dead friction and nye on 60 tonnes + the force to lift it out of the stuck position and to break the vacuum of the mud and the under tub. But it’s worth noting to have a hope in hell you need a serious setup of pulleys ans “snatch blocks” so the actual amount being pulled is being geared down near 10 times and lifting up slightly
Also the cable is at an angle. For the benefit of the Hummer. Only variables that really make a difference are the tires, weight of the car, angle of the cable and power conversion. A Suzuki Swift with the right gearbox (power conversion with high torque) tractor tires and enough weight will win from the Hummer

It's actually a game of weight. You can multiply torque with gearing so even if this H1 only had 100 nm of torque it would still win because it's so heavy and has awesome huge mud tires.
That shows nicely the effet of proper off-road tires and actual torque at the wheels. The hummer has portal axles, that reduce the total gearing further, giving it a total reduction in 1st of around 40:1. That combined with the torque conbverter increaing torque gives something around 30-40000 Nm at the wheels combined.
To be fair, it would be interesting to see. It weighs a bit less than 3 tonnes, has 800hp and 1355Nm of torque. I'm not sure why you are talking shit about Tesla cars when they're doing a great job.

The G Wagon for example comes with tyres that are rated for much higher speed than the hummer. The tyres on the hummer are made for off-roading and that's it. They are clearly a different class of tyres with an advantage on this type of terrain. To make it fair, slap similar off-road tyres with chunky treads on the others or do this test on tarmac which is a bit risky but can do it if you really want to.
All these experts, I can assure you with the correct tyres the Range Rover would give the H1 a good go... it’s not about power but traction and the one thing the Range Rover does brilliantly is fines the traction with modern technology!

Using Road tire with Big Horse Power just make it like drifter G63. if you wanna make a drift car, just put road tire and big horse power, even in asphalt road the tire will be drifted.

It's about the tyres (and weight), not the car. All that engine power/torque was irrelevant because it had no way to put it to the ground.

I do not think it is because that. The three vehicles were 12 tires total against 4. The Hummer won because it has a lot of torque and short gears.

I'd actually be more worried about the Hummer's transmission. He said he was redlining it but none of the wheels were actually turning. So all that energy went heating up the torque converter.

The Hummer was impressive, like the 5.6 tons on this side matched the 3.6 ton Hummer on the other side which is insane.
