Too Late for a Savior is an experimental song musically, lacking a true chorus and shedding a usual song structure to express a slow, methodical descent into madness. The Elder of the Godhunter saga sought power through eldritch worship of the cosmos, and as his efforts proved useless but his following grew, he pursued darker means of seeking immortality. As he searched he neglected his people, and the deaths grew quickly. It's too late for redemption, he claims, so he will stoop to any means to save himself.

The sinister tone of this song is amazing.
It's like it's goading you to play the villain rather than the hero for once, telling you to let go and just let evil rule for as long as you want.

@@codenameviper8967 It's a song that describes the trope of "you either die the hero or live long enough to become the villain." It's almost like the perspective of a hero that realized all he/she worked for didn't matter and that what they did wasn't actually helping but actually hindering. That's what it feels like to me anyway.

my brain never even registered those lyrics, wow
I don't know, it depends who you think the singer is in this. I like to think it's a God (and possibly the other voice is members of his church) singing about the apocalypse. The suffering and plague don't have to be now, they could be in the future or the past or theoretical ... the God could be removing things like sickness and war as the sun expands into a red giant and is about to engulf the earth in flame (astrophysicist put the date of that at about 65 million years). We could all be looking up at a read sky full of flame free of hunger and all disease staring down the death of all we've ever known.
After the disappointing realization that we only got a silver at a choir contest instead of a gold because of some drums we added to a song, this was what I needed.

Awesome song as always... The songs based around the mindset of the Elder are particularly interesting, and it's interesting to see what motivates a character which would otherwise just be a stereotypical powerful supervillain! The character development in these songs makes them so much more powerful...
it really is amazing its audio storytelling ive never heard before threw mere vague lyrics we can truly hear and comphrend the mind of man who set out to the do the right thing at the end of the world devolve into a cold self centerd tyrant who saught only to preserve the few and treat the many as toys to relive boredom
I love getting lost in this song, all the repetition of the grooves, refrains, especially the instrumental break and bridge!
The Godhunter and Bleeding Sun concept is a tricky one but it's been so much fun figuring it all out. Now to have this on repeat all day XD

Honestly, I like this one BECAUSE I find it impossible to enjoy the music on an aesthetic level. It's halting and disjointed in a way that mirrors the Elder's irrationality, and the melody feels like it's building up to a satisfying payoff that never comes, just like his schemes. I would hate it if it wasn't so perfectly suited to the story it's made to tell.

So- I am unfamiliar with the games connected to the music you make. But I want you to know that, when not a part of that in-crowd, your songs still stand on their own. I get excited about games I don't know and will never play (I'm just not much of a gamer) simply by listening to your songs. But, what more, a great many of your songs have touched upon either my own writing and fantasy world, or even in my own irl life. I've drawn strength from them, as have my characters. And I would like to thank you for that. I know, it's probably best I thank you by buying your stuff. I will, someday, when money comes easier to me. But, honestly- thank you.

I love how it blends Industrial and atmospheric sounds.
And the ethereal breakdown at 4:31 leading into the song's powerful climax is so good!
I also love that this and some of the other songs on this album moved away from the traditional verse-chorus-verse structure a little. Hope to hear more of that on future albums.
one of the most complex and beautiful songs so far, castle on the sea is just more fast paced and intense, so i like it a little bit more, these two really broken the mold of your usual lyrics structure, tho the climax is still one of the things that hard carry your songs and make the foundation to memorise the rest of it's lyrics.
It's really impressive how Aviators can produce songs so quickly with such high quality. I really look up to you guys because of how impressive your songs are.

I love this song! The story elements of it are nice, and the way it never really returns to a repeated chorus makes it feel like going down a path that can’t be retraced. The way the water gets more red as the song continues is also a nice touch!

This probably had to be one of my favorite songs on the album. I loved everything about it.
Another gem off of the album. I love this one, whether it be the driving drums in the background or the guitar in the foreground. The melody is haunting AND catchy at the same time.

You Know, Tyler Shaw. I never understood why you were the star who dispelled all my stereotypes about music. I used to hate music because I didn't hear masterpieces. All these minor Russians rap, chanson, Russian rock. And other soulless music. I have never been a patriot to my country because I do not believe in its good intentions. But no matter how.
Unfortunately, not only in Russia, but all over the world people are the same. It's been 2,000 years since humans ceased to be barbarians, but they still continue to be soulless machines without a soul. They commit the same sins, thus further ruining the hope of turning the balance into something rotting and something terrible. Just like in the novels of my favorite writer Howard Phillips Lovecraft. I would like to thank you for the fact that now I listen to the right music. I started listening to you with the song Mechanical instinct. And listened to everything that is recreated by you. Noticing your interests, I realized that we are rather different people, because I am a pessimist accustomed to the terrible, and as always ready to confront him and as a philosopher, and as an ominous monster. However, when I noticed 2 songs - Waiting games and We are not machines. I finally felt why fate had thrown me here... We lose heart Swami on the same subject. Realizing that this world is illusory, and everything that happens, including the people around us - just an attempt to break us. I was once told that 7 out of 8 people are supposedly "soulless machines". But I believe there are 3 types of lies. Direct, indirect and statistics. Although these words have some truth. Humanity really only pretends to be kind, actually being a rubbish and filth. Thank you, Tyler. I began to listen not only to rock, but also to classics. The same of Beethoven at last... Yes and not only - all after all began after you with heavy rock. Blue stahli, Rob zombie, Starset, Bring me horizon, Celldweller, The Birthday Massacre , Neurotech, Mind Shredder, Linkin park, Red, Marilyn Manson, Zayde Wolf, Combichrist, Suicide silence, Miracle of sound, Fun Mode, Pavel Plamenev and others. Although this is what has allowed me to understand what I listened to before this often saundtreki some games just coming into them and enjoying it. Because of this, I began to love the classics - the same Chris Velasco or Olivier Deriviere. For all the time that you create your work, I am increasingly aware of how unfair humanity is. And it's not just about rock music. In our country there's a rapper, what for me perhaps almost the only one who makes music with a soul. From the heart he sings about the necessary and perhaps philosophical. And the question here is in including on games. His nickname is SGM. I'm really, very sorry that this horror affects and simple, may be mortal, but most importantly innocent. This is the fate of the prophet, who knew that God is no better than the devil. And time would have to change everything, to dispel the veil of the nightmare in and out of the stray dreams. Despite the different characters - we are with you, one of pain. Thank you for being there. I would personally like to meet with you, because it was you I started to be creative and I want to learn to sing and play the electric guitar.

Alright, I'm sorry I'm so late again, but I bring my usual comments! Honestly, I forgot how amazing this song is. Between listening to Godhunter, Pop Cult Crucifixion, and Lost Boys, this just always slips my mind. This is such a good song, though. As with every song on Godhunter, it's an amazing piece of art. I love the industrial aspect of this, and it feels like it fits so perfectly. Actually, despite my saying that this slips my mind, after hearing it again I really think it's one of the catchiest songs of the album, right behind Godhunter. (I really can't get that song out of my head. Ever.) It's 7 minutes of pure greatness, and I couldn't ask for more. As always, I hope everyone who reads this has a great day! :)

Been waiting for this one. Tbh, all of Godhunter is amazing. But for me this is one of the best
Beautifully composed.
The battle began slowly, one of us suddenly swiping at the other, who would dodge and counter, then the cycle to begin again. Small jabs, wide strikes, leaving gaps in the defense. Testing, prodding, analyzing. Not once did the swords clash in this exchange. then, at some unknown signal, we began our attacks. Giant claymore, black like a shadow, met with broadsword of shining green crystal. until one of us drew blood. It was I who drew the first wound, and with it was an image: a small boy who had gotten a small bruise from falling out of a tree. I was startled by this, but quickly shook it off to parry the claymore, the strike sapping a bit of my strength. Again and again, but with each successful strike a new image pierced my mind: the child going to school, growing up, and eventually holding the very sword that I now wielded high above his head in triumph. At this my blood boiled, my attacks growing ever more frenzied, each new image only adding more fuel to my flame: His triumph in holding the throne, the first whispers from the shades, and eventually his fall. All through his own eyes. I kept going, ever resolved to end this at all costs. More and more of his life, until the final image: a haggard monster in bloodstained, golden armor, holding an even bloodier sword above his head for the final blow, reflected in his eyes a man who only wishes for freedom. And when I caught my reflection in his eye, I only saw the same.

Considering the character, he’s far too gone to try and redeem himself. His crimes are uncountable and any sane person would see him as a monster, so people seeing him would believe him to be beyond absolution. Not only would others see that, but he himself has those crimes on his conscious more than anybody else, making he himself believe it too

Because the singer isn't human, it's a God whose very existence is to exemplify an idea. If they could change enough to be redeemed then they wouldn't BE anymore.

I don't know why... I really seriously don't iv Been drinking but... I want this as my funeral song I want my family to know all I ever tried being was the hero but real heroes don't exist we are all equal we just have special moments in life game changing moments that spin the universe into a whole new direction :) I'm happy but if I die I need my family to hear this I know it may not be what it was intended for but the song means alot to my heart and to me... Its a story of a hero who always ends up being imperfect and always gets things wrong... To me theres no better way of being a son a father a grandpa a uncle a nephew a brother and a failure because every single one of us Is imperfect and we all deserve a chance to fix mistakes and get things right and change the world and make a difference never give up never stop fighting never stop making the future you want so long as it's a nice loving positive thing because we all need it even the people that hide that truth thank you aviators for a heart hitting song never stop because your not like other artists your special you spread messages and stories and the whole world should take them to heart like I have.
