If you go from a Non Performance Pack GT without the Strut Tower and Cowl braces, Beefier rear sway Bar, tuned suspension that they come with even without Magnaride, There's a huge Handling difference.. Even on the S550's too.. It's night and day different.. People think all a performance Pack gets you is a strut tower brace and there's so much more. 373 Torsen LSD more cooling n so on not that far off from the Mach truthfully. But the only way you would ever really feel it is to go from a base to a PP. And then you'll know.
Guy's, we're new to the mustang platform. We came from the scatpack challenger and we're really impressed with the mustang. It's great to have a car that is fast and handles great. We really loved our scatpack but grew tired of Dodge not improving on the platform and then wanting more money for the same car every year. Just drove the S650 across the Dragon and I don't understand why everyone is hating on this car. I didn't realize that you could flat foot shift this S650 though. Good job Ford
S650 is king. It’s an incredible car. You’re right too. Once you see one and if you can drive one, you will trade your s550 in. Well, I sold mine before my special order s650 arrived but yeah. I could not be happier.
So you paid more for a 2022 model Mustang Mach 1 which means the car deprecated more when you drove it off the lot versus a new S650 2024 Mustang GT. The 2024 S650 is a 2 year newer model Mustang than your 2022 Mach 1. Did you even think about that. Find out how much your Mach 1 is worth versus what you paid for it. I'm guessing your 2022 was new so you likely paid over $60,000 for it. You could have purchased a new 2024 S650 Dark Horse with s factory built 500 horsepower Gen 4 Coyote for the same price.

Not everybody wants more tech, from “AnalogGuy”! 😁 No doubt the S650 is a notch or two improved as compared to the S550. For now I have decided to hang onto my 2018 GT Premium, PP1. At some point I will order an S650 - I love Mustangs & I love V8, NA, front engine, rear wheel drive GT cars. Manual only for me! Note, my S550 has been a great car so far, 60,000 miles, no squeaks or rattles, no trans issues, no “typewriter tick” - Have used 5W-30 Full Synthetic from day one + oil change every 5,000 miles. Coming from a 2020 camaro LT1 The s650 feels pretty nice I really like it for daily use. The camaro felt more track ready and gobs of low end power. I miss that. But I do love the ride and design of the s650
I love the S650 but I’m not sure if I’m ready to get rid of my Mach 1 just yet . And not to mention they’re a little pricey and the interest rates aren’t great but definitely thinking about getting one , one day .I think I’ll hold onto my Mach for a little while longer though for now . 🇺🇸💪🏼🐎

Love the spec! I ordered mine at the end of August, almost the exact same spec as this. The only differences being mine will be equipped with magne-ride, grabber blue brembos, and the bronze appearance package. Can't wait to take delivery!

In Australia we get a fully loaded perf pack version as the base GT - with Magneride, black pack, appearance pack as the only options. Even taking into account exchange rates - i bought a 2020 GT, Magneride, auto, black pack new at the time for $68K - just priced up the same deal with the '24, $97K AUD lol wtf! Even funnier, the DH here is $130K on road, and here they only get 2KW more, and less torque. Good call, Ford.

I have a white GT premium in Tennessee also, I have the 6 speed and no active exhaust. I had nbot driven a hydraulic clutch car since the fox body's so had to relearn shifting the 24 is a lot different than my old 73 mach1. Getting used to not having a solid rear axle was a huge learning curve.

Unfortunately, the more I see it I'm sticking with the plan of getting a 21-22 Mach! HP. I'm not a fan of all the data tracking that I'm hearing about in the 24s, so...if I ever by another outside of a S550, I'll probably go back to a 69 fastback and call it done. Looking forward to seeing this build, regardless.

The only thing that is missing are the Tremec manuals... After the gen 1's with MT82's and all the issues people went through even with Gen 2's and 3's they are still sticking MT82's in them?? These cars deserve a way better gear box for sure.. I make do with the MT82 for weekend use but it's basically a good enough trans.. New clutch line, shifter and clutch and it can be made a lot better with Mod's but then you will lose the factory drivability if u go to crazy with the Mod's.. You will have Bad NVH which sucks too...
If you have a S550 it's not worth the Upgrade to the S650 unless you are a Content Creator or just have money to burn. Love my 2021 ShelbyGT500. Great Video Brother.

As the FN S550 PP with twin injectors bigger CC , more KW@335 and HP was much better than series 1 FM S550 , it will be very interesting how the second refresh of S650 stacks up when it comes out in 18-24 months time , as Ford always ups the HP, KW and engine tech in the second versions .We may end up with a 385KW GT 5.0 ?
Well, I'm kind of torn. I would rather have the Dark Horse, but I hate the way it looks. To be honest, I kind of wish there was a PP2 GT with the Tremec. Maybe that instead of the base Dark Horse. That would be the sweet spot.
Why don’t you tell everyone about the instrument cluster next to the start stop button? That thing is a POs. It’s all one piece and if you press one button the whole thing moves. It looks very rushed and cheap.
It is the reason I scratched a 2024 mustang off my list of potential next car,So I have a 2SS 1LE coming ,but I waited until Ford released theirs before I made a decision, If they don't change it I will never own one I guess Also as far as the statement in the video about people don't complain about BMW? I most certainly do ,I don't like any car that has these slapped in screens ,They shouldn't be and people shouldn't be so accepting, also it was never about seeing over it under it or in-between, its about a cheap looking after thought for me,I did see it in person and it just confirmed that I don't like the dash

Ford never should have changed the manual transmission gearing in the 2015-2017's, the individual ratio's were perfect with 5th being 1:1. The 2018+ manual gearing is way too tall, especially 3rd, and 4th is now 1:1. It really neuters the additional power of the Gen 3 and Gen 4 Coyote. 🙄
Rear is horrible, the front fascia looks better on the S550, the interior is literally horrible. It just two iPads stuck to the dash. There’s literally know way function anything without the screens. The steering in the S550 actually gives more track feedback. I will definitely take single in take over the dual. Single is easier to tune. Personally I like the S550 basically all the way around. Bring on the S750. Until, i will keep my 2018 Premium, lowered, modded with exhaust, upgraded polymer bushings, swapped temperature control, and Supercharged Whipple tuned to only 675 wheel horsepower. Kept the tune subtle. Hopefully the S750 shakes up the pony world. Be the way Ford, Dodge will be showing us the new Hemi very soon!!!!
Still think the 2022/3 Mach 1 is the better car- all the track cooling goodies and the right 6 speed option. If you could get the tremec in the S650 GT then I could certainly entertain it. Too many horror stories about the MT82 and third gear. Just takes me back to the old T5 days.
@93ksj the point is the 2024 GT and the run out models of the Mach 1, at least here in my country, are the same price. The S650 GT price is enormous, making it a worse purchase in this case.
@@techforge-Nate I'm in Sydney Australia too. I looked at getting the Mach 1 and found 2 of them for sale, one was about $99,000 plus on road costs & the other was about $105,000 plus on road costs. Both had low K's on them, but for me they were too pricey for a second hand vehicle. I think that since they are scarce and there is a high demand for them, they are put the pricing up. You can pick up the new Dark Horse Mustang model in manual for $99,000 plus on road costs from the dealers I've been talking too and It out performs the Mach 1 on very UA-cam video from what i have seen so far ( NA for for NA ). I really love the S550 Mach 1 but I'm better off getting the Dark Horse at a similar price tag. Would love to know what you think and if you can find a cheaper deal on the Mach 1 though as it is a great car?
@@wadeayoub9799 99 plus Onroads is a sweet deal on the Darkhorse. I used Fords online config for the GT in Vapor Blue, with Recaros and Magnaride and it came out at 95K driveaway. Either Fords online config is full of s^&* or thats a stonking good deal on the Darkhorse. One thing to consider is the tyres. The DH got a big upgrade in the rubber compared to the Mach 1. Put the Mach 1 on the same rubber and its going to be very very very close.
I totally agree with @burke985! This dude and Stangchode can’t make it more obvious that they’re only in it for the clout. There’s nothing better about this car. If you want to mod it or go faster then the s550 is the way to go. Yes Roush and Whipple will tune them BUT will be EXTRA conservative because they are in it with Ford. People really don’t see this. It’s so annoying how these UA-camrs try to paint a pretty picture of the car.
I wouldn't call An 800 horsepower S650 Gen 4 Coyote extra conservative. Whipple and now Pro- Charger both showed their new S650 superchargers for the new Gen 4 Coyote at SEMA. You do know what SEMA is? Regarding As you call it. Being in it with Ford. Ford only has to build S650 Gen 4 Coyote to pass cafe regulations when the Mustangs built. . After it's sold. Using a Ford approved installer provides you with Ford's factory warranty. None of the Older S550 had that warranty option.

Anyone that actually buys the s650 will say it's better. But your right it's slower than the s550 Gen 3 stock for stock. I backed out of the S650 I ordered. ended up getting a mach 1. Tremec. Bill Calamore rebuilds MT 82 . He said the MT82 is the exact same as the s550. So it's no better than before. I spent more money on my mach than I would have on the GT I ordered.

I will keep my 2022 and have Hellion twins and sleeved 5.2 RPG block. I don’t see the value in these S650s after seeing one in person wasn’t impressed at all. Paying 10k more for less is crazy. Even my 22 reports back to ford when I tune it and do anything. Stupid annoying I can only imagine what these cars do. Ford will be voiding peoples warranty’s left and right.
I just cannot get past the rear on how it’s bent like that. The previous 12 inch digital dash is still king. A huge tablet plopped on the dash just looks out of place. If Ford recessed the big screens inside the dash, now that would have been the move. Then the other models with the gap between screens, so out of place. Keeping my procharged Oxford white 2020 GT. My wife thought I was going to sell my GT for a 2024 but I don’t see this as an upgrade.
The 650 is not any better than the 550. My son his a 550 2016 California Special GT it's white with stripes full skirts all around and it looks better than your white GT.
Its 100% worth it, I owned a S550 a few years ago and this is for sure an improvement. Acceleration is better, handling is better, the tech is better and I like the look and design better too. People just need to go check it out in person and stop letting people on the internet decide for them.

The spirit of the Mustang is gone. Gone is the “twin cowl” instrument panel, the toggle switches and the analog-appearing interior. Worse yet, it looks like Ford hired a Camaro designer to tweak some exterior designs. And dropping the AC vents down low vs the last generation is not as effective in hot weather like we have in the south. Thank goodness I bought my ‘23 Mach 1 - the last of the great ones.

I have no CEL light. Plus the carbon traps are located post MAF. Meaning they are NOT measured by the PCM.

@CBRCommando I did initially, but cancelled the order. Going to do what I did last time, I'll find a low KM 2023, and whack a blower on it.
My plan is to build my s550 fbo, then get a s650 and go with a procharger kit, that way i can keep both

The only thing that is missing are the Tremec manuals... After the gen 1's with MT82's and all the issues people went through even with Gen 2's and 3's they are still sticking MT82's in them?? These cars deserve a way better gear box for sure.. I make do with the MT82 for weekend use but it's basically a good enough trans.. New clutch line, shifter and clutch and it can be made a lot better with Mod's but then you will lose the factory drivability if u go to crazy with the Mod's.. You will have Bad NVH which sucks too...
If you have a S550 it's not worth the Upgrade to the S650 unless you are a Content Creator or just have money to burn. Love my 2021 ShelbyGT500. Great Video Brother.

As the FN S550 PP with twin injectors bigger CC , more KW@335 and HP was much better than series 1 FM S550 , it will be very interesting how the second refresh of S650 stacks up when it comes out in 18-24 months time , as Ford always ups the HP, KW and engine tech in the second versions .We may end up with a 385KW GT 5.0 ?
Well, I'm kind of torn. I would rather have the Dark Horse, but I hate the way it looks. To be honest, I kind of wish there was a PP2 GT with the Tremec. Maybe that instead of the base Dark Horse. That would be the sweet spot.

Why don’t you tell everyone about the instrument cluster next to the start stop button? That thing is a POs. It’s all one piece and if you press one button the whole thing moves. It looks very rushed and cheap.
It is the reason I scratched a 2024 mustang off my list of potential next car,So I have a 2SS 1LE coming ,but I waited until Ford released theirs before I made a decision, If they don't change it I will never own one I guess

Ford never should have changed the manual transmission gearing in the 2015-2017's, the individual ratio's were perfect with 5th being 1:1. The 2018+ manual gearing is way too tall, especially 3rd, and 4th is now 1:1. It really neuters the additional power of the Gen 3 and Gen 4 Coyote. 🙄

Rear is horrible, the front fascia looks better on the S550, the interior is literally horrible. It just two iPads stuck to the dash. There’s literally know way function anything without the screens. The steering in the S550 actually gives more track feedback. I will definitely take single in take over the dual. Single is easier to tune. Personally I like the S550 basically all the way around. Bring on the S750. Until, i will keep my 2018 Premium, lowered, modded with exhaust, upgraded polymer bushings, swapped temperature control, and Supercharged Whipple tuned to only 675 wheel horsepower. Kept the tune subtle. Hopefully the S750 shakes up the pony world. Be the way Ford, Dodge will be showing us the new Hemi very soon!!!!
Still think the 2022/3 Mach 1 is the better car- all the track cooling goodies and the right 6 speed option. If you could get the tremec in the S650 GT then I could certainly entertain it. Too many horror stories about the MT82 and third gear. Just takes me back to the old T5 days.
It’s supposed to be better than a GT, that’s the whole point of the Mach 1, to bridge the gap between GT and the Shelby models
@93ksj the point is the 2024 GT and the run out models of the Mach 1, at least here in my country, are the same price. The S650 GT price is enormous, making it a worse purchase in this case.
@@techforge-Nate I'm in Sydney Australia too. I looked at getting the Mach 1 and found 2 of them for sale, one was about $99,000 plus on road costs & the other was about $105,000 plus on road costs. Both had low K's on them, but for me they were too pricey for a second hand vehicle. I think that since they are scarce and there is a high demand for them, they are put the pricing up. You can pick up the new Dark Horse Mustang model in manual for $99,000 plus on road costs from the dealers I've been talking too and It out performs the Mach 1 on very UA-cam video from what i have seen so far ( NA for for NA ). I really love the S550 Mach 1 but I'm better off getting the Dark Horse at a similar price tag. Would love to know what you think and if you can find a cheaper deal on the Mach 1 though as it is a great car?
@@wadeayoub9799 99 plus Onroads is a sweet deal on the Darkhorse. I used Fords online config for the GT in Vapor Blue, with Recaros and Magnaride and it came out at 95K driveaway. Either Fords online config is full of s^&* or thats a stonking good deal on the Darkhorse. One thing to consider is the tyres. The DH got a big upgrade in the rubber compared to the Mach 1. Put the Mach 1 on the same rubber and its going to be very very very close.
Its a DUD and a Snitch. Not tunable and too $$$ might as well buy a Plaid EV 😬

If you want to mod it or go faster then the s550 is the way to go. Yes Roush and Whipple will tune them BUT will be EXTRA conservative because they are in it with Ford. People really don’t see this. I wouldn't call An 800 horsepower S650 Gen 4 Coyote extra conservative. Whipple and now Pro- Charger both showed their new S650 superchargers for the new Gen 4 Coyote at SEMA. You do know what SEMA is? Regarding As you call it. Being in it with Ford. Ford only has to build S650 Gen 4 Coyote to pass cafe regulations when the Mustangs built. . After it's sold. Using a Ford approved installer provides you with Ford's factory warranty. None of the Older S550 had that warranty option.

Anyone that actually buys the s650 will say it's better. But your right it's slower than the s550 Gen 3 stock for stock. I backed out of the S650 I ordered. ended up getting a mach 1. Tremec. Bill Calamore rebuilds MT 82 . He said the MT82 is the exact same as the s550. So it's no better than before. I spent more money on my mach than I would have on the GT I ordered.

I will keep my 2022 and have Hellion twins and sleeved 5.2 RPG block. I don’t see the value in these S650s after seeing one in person wasn’t impressed at all. Paying 10k more for less is crazy. Even my 22 reports back to ford when I tune it and do anything. Stupid annoying I can only imagine what these cars do. Ford will be voiding peoples warranty’s left and right.
I just cannot get past the rear on how it’s bent like that. The previous 12 inch digital dash is still king. A huge tablet plopped on the dash just looks out of place. If Ford recessed the big screens inside the dash, now that would have been the move. Then the other models with the gap between screens, so out of place. Keeping my procharged Oxford white 2020 GT. My wife thought I was going to sell my GT for a 2024 but I don’t see this as an upgrade.

Its 100% worth it, I owned a S550 a few years ago and this is for sure an improvement. Acceleration is better, handling is better, the tech is better and I like the look and design better too. People just need to go check it out in person and stop letting people on the internet decide for them.

The spirit of the Mustang is gone. Gone is the “twin cowl” instrument panel, the toggle switches and the analog-appearing interior. Worse yet, it looks like Ford hired a Camaro designer to tweak some exterior designs. And dropping the AC vents down low vs the last generation is not as effective in hot weather like we have in the south. Thank goodness I bought my ‘23 Mach 1 - the last of the great ones.
