I believe the game they were paying attention to was mkleo vs prodigy in ssbu.
I feel like Rivals at Frostbite and Genesis is in the same place as Smash at Evo.
It has nowhere near the same level of respect as the headliners, but dammit, this game is so good and we love it so much.
That Definitive Edition release is coming, though. I'm 100% ready to watch Rivals blow up.

This game is so good, Alpharad and Zero are giving the game atention lately but the competitive scene doesn't get as much attention, there are low views for a grand final, i hope this game get the attention it deserves
Sadly Zero is just showing the Workshop mods but hopefully Rivals gets bigger when the Switch version gets released

9:36 this interaction was so sick. Penguin knew MSB would charge in with an aerial so he UpB'd *on reaction* and perfectly hit Clairen right as the Nair hitbox ended. Soooo high level
Hopefully rivals will get the attention it deserves when it comes to switch this summer.

Jesus Garcia Absa is arguably the best, but it’s not too bit of a gap. The game is more balanced than PM or any other smash game, and even characters that are considered “bad” like Kragg are still completely viable and can do well

If Absa was really strong, there would be a bunch of Absa players running around, but you only ever see Penguin representing her in most Majors, much like how CakeAssault is the main Forsburn player in Majors.
Everyone is one of the best pretty much. You’re right about the recovery though. In my opinion, she has the second best recovery in the game. It can really get out of basically anything. The Clairen in this set did a pretty good job of hitting it and she still got so much use out of it.
It's quite literally smash ultimate pika up special if he could act out of it *a n d* wasn't put into free fall, and that's saying something.

It's called wavedash. It's done by airdodging to the ground after a short hop.
I think you're talking about the "teleport slash", it's just the side special

The red rot in the swordfighter character is an atack that you have to wait to use it again (sorry for the bad english, I speak spanish)

I’m actually considering getting into the game but I’m afraid at this rate it might not be worth it. Can anybody recommend where i can get info on the game and if you think the switch version will be worth it?
You can get it on Steam, Id actually recommend this version as it has workshop support.
Definitely worth one of my all time favorite games, only if you live in Europe or the US otherwise it’s hard to find matches and people to play with
Hey here from the future the switch edition is EXTREAMLY good but if you were considering getting the game I would still say pc because of workshop. If you want to 100% get into completive though switch isn't bad it right now has a healthy player base

This game is great, Absa is mid tier but even she can pull off amazing stuff. Every character is viable. Even shovel knight, even if he's worse than the others
