It's an upspecial input that doesn't generate the pillar. If you use upspecial without the pillar available or comes out like this, but even if you have the pillar available too you can I think get it by holding dodge/parry while inputting upspecial.
Side special and then after that airdodge, this is also how he would remove the pillar so that Xaro couldn't tech at 11:00 . I can't remember the actual frame you have to airdodge by but if you just input about the same as wavedashing (I usually do it a bit later) then you should get it.
