Thank you Drew. Your exquisitely sensitive playing is a joy to my heart. I wonder if you know that thousands of people are happier because if you're playing.
The greatest contemporary classical guitarist in the world. Beautful, heart breaking interpretation and rendition as you consistently bring to all of your work. Thank you Maestro Henderson.
Wonderful performance Drew, interesting that these shorter scale guitars do sound a lot better tuned 'low' than standard (E) and yet hardly anyone chooses to do it.
With Tatyana Ryshkova you are one of the rare guitarists I am not bored to listen too. Also I like how your video are done. There is an ambiance, it is well filmed. I mean it is quality. Very often you are well dressed and your physical appearance is a matter that you consider. That is really important. Too many classical guitarists are austere, when they play they look like Jesus suffering on the slope of Golgotha, just like if they had "a message" to deliver. They look like monks. With you there is no negative tension. Bravo.
Beautiful. I grew up in an Australian rural city in the 1960s and 70s and we had the best classical guitarist in Australia. He was a Dutch man and he made the most beautiful guitars. He was also a devout Catholic but the conservative bishop of the diocese would not permit the playing of guitars in any of the churches under his jurisdiction. He said they were blatant sexual instruments and unedifying to be played in church. The same bishop allowed known pedophile priests to remain in their posts and he himself was notorious for driving whilst drunk. It's interesting to me that beautiful Catholic churches are now the back drop for classical guitarists and their beautiful music. Let's hope that the churches can stop being the backdrop and hiding place of hypocritical clerics.
Drew, I see you're supporting this little gem with some sort of cushion. Is that how it would have been played back in the 19th century? Great work as ever on your part.
Great job! A wooden floor? That's a rare one in a church in Italy, very interesting...do the lower frequencies benefit from it? I'm curious about it...
Drew, really nice paying, and on a great guitar! I love this introduction, but the theme and variations bore me to tears, so I'm glad you omitted them. Now, your next project must be to remove your nails, and read Sor's Method for the technique he used - the music will sound very different. As Sor said: “Never in my life have I heard a guitarist whose playing was supportable, if he played with the nails." That's a bit harsh, of course! But it shows you how strongly he felt about it.
I just played at a festival in Sicily but that's all that's on the calendar for now. However, I will be coming back to Europe to do some more recordings in the spring. Perhaps they will be accompanied by performances. Fingers crossed.
Beautiful sound, indeed, and wonderful performance; only the ripped pants and the sneakers were dissonant with everything else (the music, the instrument, and primarily, with the Catholic church)... .
The instrument really does seem to have a certain agreeable tonal quality... Lovely to hear these pieces so beautifully played! One wee criticism: You do not honor the composers by showing up in blue jeans, and even less respect for the Church setting. Here you had a chance to really do things at the level of your own talent but fail miserably on the visuals. You're a bit too good to be looking anything other than perfect on stage.
Classical beach perfomance. Aseptically boring without personal interior and any properties. There is lack of fire, beer, weed & girls yet... Why the young people have no clue about what the style is? Maybe lack of humility??
Genius..F.Sor maestro fo fine melody and harmony together

Tatyana wears too much lippy.

I cannot imagine how does he relate guitar to 'blatant sexual' when violin, viola and cello have the similar shape.
@@chrislam1341 - yes. Go figure. Dirty mind I suppose.
Уважаемый Дрю! Кто же Ваш учитель? Вы так проникновенно играете... Ваше исполнение на гитаре я хочу слушать снова и снова )))
fantastico!

Guitar virtuoso
suggest editing the title to reflect that this is only the largo and is missing the theme and variations.
Mad lad plays with is c finger wow 3:17
Very nice music, excellent interpretation! Do you are in a church?

European tour anytime soon??

Drew Henderson Well, I would definitely buy front row tickets, if you happen to somehow find your way to Denmark!
Thank you!
Great playing and recording! Would you mind sharing your recording equipment setup?
Did Torres make a mistake ? ....😀😘
Who shreds harder, Drew or Dimebag Darrell?
Real finesse in your playing! Why did the owner of the guitar request that it be tuned low? And how low did you tune it?
The end credits list the tuning as A=415, standard tuning is A=440.
oh! whats this guitar? i wish i can start classical guitar with you!!
Благодарность из России, Нижний Новгород.
What strings did you use? ( Sor didn’t play on nylons...)
The bridge of the Lacote Guitar seems to be not original by Lacote because of its shape, what is not typical for Lacote guitars
Why is it so

Nice song but at least get a decent a guitar. That sounds exactly like my first chinese and I paid 10 bucks for it.
