37901 Visits The Dean Forest Railway Hauling 360202 & Six TTA's Tanks - 02/04/24

37901 on it's second visit to the Dean Forest Railway having previously visited the line 2 years ago, having starred in their autumn diesel gala. After delivering 360202 from Bicester to Lydney Junction today for further transportation by road to the Swansea test track in Onllwyn. 37901 would take part in shunting duties, with the National Wagon Preservation Group's six TTA aviation tanks. Allowing for some rare footage of the 37 coupled up with the TTA's in tow. Thanks for watching

Doesn't 37901 have a different engine to the rest of her sisters??
Wasn't she a test bed for something?? Can't remember the details....

37901 - 4 were fitted with a Mirrlees engine and 37905/6 were fitted with a Ruston engine both rated at 1800 hp , the plan was to build a fleet of class 38 locomotives fitted with one of these engines , unfortunately it didn't happen .
