Without this video, I never would've thought to go over every inch of the vacuum lines in the engine bay, and notice where some scumbag had just taped together the remnants of the harness after damaging it. You fixed my AC and saved me from tearing apart my dash. Eternal thanks.
Thanks bro, you saved me a ton of money. The problem with that vaccume line was causing the same exact situation in my '05 Explorer, and I'm now riding with my windows up again..! AND.. the cruise control wasn't working either . I couldn't find the problem with both things which I knew worked by vaccume actuators, so I Did the "smoke" test which I made with a vape pen. I just blew into the lines and looked for the "smoking gun" ..! Thanks again Brother 👍. Take care and stay safe.
Thank you for making a video even though you don't know all the proper terminology you still were able to substitute colorful language and still educate the viewer!! LOVED IT!!! and much thanks!
Thanks for the video! I was suspecting this was the issue, but I don't have time to run through the vacuum lines to figure it out. I have to drive for 12 hours in the next couple of weeks. So seeing the control location is incredibly helpful! My compressor clutch I think is bad so I bypassed it so that it never disengages because if it does it will not re-engage consistently when the compressor is hot. So the bypass just keeps the compressor engaged and never lets it engage/disengage. But then about 8 months after I did the bypass while driving 12 hours, suddenly the AC stopped blowing air out no matter how high the fan is. It will work if I just drive around for less than an hour, but if I drive right around an hour or more no more air will blow out. So the vacuum line leaking completely makes sense! I'll have to see if I can manually engage that piece until I have time to actually fix the problem. I live in an apartment temporarily for work and drive back home periodically. So hopefully when I get back home the next time I can find where the leak is!
Dude you saved my ass! That was the exact same problem I had on .you 04 Explorer. Same vacuum line broke in the exact same place! I did the repair in a parking lot in under 15 minutes.
Thank you, You got me at the right track. In my case, the line was cut. I could not figure out a way to remove the part that was stuck in the wider tube. I fixed the issue by using a heat shrink tube from the Homedepot. $2.90 purchase. I used a hair dryer to shrink it. It has been working for over a month now and holding itself suprisingly well.
Vac line coming in the cab (which I didn't know where it was) was broke, thanks for that info. Next was the blend door actuator, thanks for showing that. Then was my defrost (onto the windshield). I'm working on that now, but it's on the drivers side, damn! Great video, thanks for the info!
Great job on tips. Originally, I thought maybe a door wasn't opening due to being bad. I followed the vac lines and found the problem. THANK YOU!! GOD BLESS
Love it. My problem is a little different. The black plastic piece that turns when you change the zone is broken on mine so the push rod won't even move it. But I checked the vacuum lines using your method and found a cracked one. Thank you very much for this video!
Yo despite your language you the man. You done save me so much time and money. I would have never know what cause my vents to stop working if it wasn't for your video. Thanks and I appreciate your problem solving this issue.
Thanks for this bro. Got an 03 Mav with same issue. I Ike to at least KNOW what may be going on with my vehicle even if I'm not going to fix it myself. This way when talking to the mechanics I'm not in the dark. This is a starting point.
Funny story, my wife's 1997 ford explorer has a very similar issue. I have not tried to fix the problem yet but it doesn't change the temp also doesn't change the vents lol. Oh I need to charge her AC . Always like the cool vids. Thanks man :)
🤣 a man after my own heart I love it. I replaced the blend door on my exploder over a year ago and I researched the issue and found this video hopefully I can get mine fixed as well
found the same exact problem with my 2003 Explorer good work ,just like me mechanic with a short fuse but the more youswear the better things turn out!
Thanks alot. Couldn't figure out the issue. Followed your direction and boom. The same problem. Had a hard time getting out the broken hose but got it out finally and now my nice cold ac blows right on me once again!!!!!
OK so this is what I'll be talking soon. I see the hose has broken off. If you have any hint as to what should be done to get that piece out. It seems like trouble!
Peace king, thanks for all of your detailed videos. On my 02 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0 I recently replaced the engine. Prior to me replacing it the AC/heat blew fine but now I'm having issues. When I turn on the AC I feel some air coming out but it's not cold like it was before. I wonder if you help me or tell me what to look for? Peace from NC.
mine broken off at the same place just like yours but mine doesn't have enough sticking out to grab with a needle nose... If you could please let me know how to get the broken off piece out so I can slide the other end in I'd appreciate it. Thanks for the video!
Very helpful, I have vacuum to the control. But I still can't get it to blow out the dash. Maybe the control is bad, even though I've unplugged the vacuum hoses from the of the control and tried jumping the black (vacuum) to the other lines with no effect
Thanks buddy you answered two questions real quick when you said the other valve hose control the heater control valve that was my other problem so I'm guessing it said my to vacuum hoses I sure appreciate it give me something to look at now
Alright...I was able to follow along which is awesome!! So all my vacuum lines are good. The shitty part is, the plastic piece that holds the metal pump mechanism thingy that's supposed to move in & out is broken! 🤬 So my bright idea was to use zip ties!🤣 Well, they held but the part isn't moving like it's supposed to so I'm thinking it needs to be replaced. I hear the blower motor blowing loud with no squeals or anything which I think is good. I have no air coming out of any of my vents when the a/c is on. Funny thing is when I have the heater on, everything blows out awesome like it's supposed to. So I'm gonna keep trying to get it fixed cuz here in Texas, the weather is bipolar like a mofo! 🤣
Make sure everything is all Gucci --- ROFLMAO -- DUDE, I fucking LOVED this video -- it reminded me of working on cars with my dad. His motto was, Call it a motherfucker and everything will work out -- and it usually did!!! I'm a subscriber now, Yo!!
Got a question bro my ford 04 explorer blows from the middle but only at 4 and like the rest blows low but all the other ac vents only blow low and the middle ones blow high
Ugghh cut the part when u took that piece out, the small piece bro.. OMG.. Great Video.. Drop a tip other than the needle nose 😂😂😂😂 but thank u in real life 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
This man right here is fluent in the language of "fixing shit" pure and simple genius get the job done.
BRO YOU THE REALIST MECHANIC BRO THE WORLD NEEDS MORE PEOPLE LIKE YOU SON
This is my issue and this is the only video on UA-cam where he actually traces the vac lines. Love the video and keep them coming.

I like it! Down to earth. didn't need a lot of technical bull. could have used a little less cursing , but dude is real. Keep them coming.
Thank you for making a video even though you don't know all the proper terminology you still were able to substitute colorful language and still educate the viewer!! LOVED IT!!! and much thanks!

Its amazing the things you find when your just, "looking around and some shit."

Bro! You saved me some serious dough yet again. I literally just fixed this shit on my 2004 Explorer as we speak.! Exactly this problem! Thanks again
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love it. My problem is a little different. The black plastic piece that turns when you change the zone is broken on mine so the push rod won't even move it.
But I checked the vacuum lines using your method and found a cracked one. Thank you very much for this video!
