It is a non slip memory foam bath mat from Walmart. Inexpensive and they work great. I have serval of those just around the house in places they like to lay that are hard flooring surfaces.

Do you throw away the wool?
Yes. I dont let it get long enough for anyone to use. Not 100% but I think it needs to 2” for a spinner to want it 🤷🏼♀️
