why is no one talking about the stock value of these precious metals [gold/silver}?🤦

    • @elenab3052

Do you think it's still a good time to consider them, given the current stock and bond market volatility?

    • @alpgeorge7012
      @alpgeorge7012 6 місяців тому +5

absolutely. monicamary strigle, ny wealth-plannner has been advising on that. Gold, especially, has historically served as a hedge during market uncertainties. It's like a safe haven.

been considering this. but I wonder if it's possible to diversify my 401k to include gold and silver. looked into that? Are there benefits to having precious metals in a retirement portfolio?

monica actually suggested diversifying into Gold ETFs as part of a balanced strategy. They've been performing well, and with the current trends, adding some precious metals and digital assets as well to your portfolio could be a smart move she says. I learnt about her on reddit’s wallstreetbets.

Silverbugs come up with stories on how silver will goto the moon "soon". Silver doesnt have to wait in line. It is free to goto the moon, today. It was free yesterday, and the years before. Silver JUST DOESNT MOVE.

Not true, silver has doubled in price over the last 3.

@@michaelyiannett4515 Today silver 23$, 3 months ago it was 22$, and 3 years ago it was 25$. So like I said, silver doenst move.

Well done….silver keeps up with inflation. It’s real money.

@@richardlove4287 Correct. Silver does this to a fault. Knowing that, you will see that you will never profit from silver. Which is fine, but please people, stop saying silver will goto the moon.

$10 in October 2008 to $48 in April 2011. The silver market is very small so the price can spike up quickly, if you hold physical silver you'd better be ready to sell when the time is right.

This was an interesting metals market discussion. I've always had a thing for the CC Morgan dollars too. I'm not a doctor so my set isn't amazing but I still enjoy it. Thanks, Josh!

Love the Morgans and have around 125 of them. All are in AU or better condition. Not a collector, just a stacker who loves Morgans.
Don't have any of the expensive "CC" Morgans. Wish I did but am more into stacking weight than the highest quality. But even the
ones I own sure are nice to look at. Also like western movies and TV shows, so can imagine someone from that era using a Morgan
dollar for a good meal, a few drinks in a saloon, or sleeping in a real bed after long trail drive. The stories these coins could tell! 😀

Since we all know that stacking is an addiction, perhaps we can currently label silver as a "gateway drug!" 😆

When I see an 1883 cc Morgan that nice it makes me wonder if it has been cleaned. Which makes me wonder how little 'ol me can tell the difference and be able to pay the right price.
Recently bought an 1886 Morgan (MS63) for $85 that I feel good about, except for the gnawing cleaning question. Thoughts?

A foundation in silver is a good place to start. Save your currency for the gold buy later. Unless you have lots of cash, then by all means buy some gold.

I started stacking silver in early 2010 and gold in late 2013. Until 2019 I stacked both metals. In 2019 I met my silver stacking goal,
so only buy gold now unless I find something that is very attractive at a good price. Still buying gold on a quarterly basis.
