Nice :-) I play this game with my group but this might be a good way too keep playing in these times. Looks a little messy but it is the same with the boardgame.
Still learning, only have 5 games under my belt. But if Hunter already had Sarween Tools, why didn't he produce free (1 resource cost) infantry/fighter/destroyer when he took those 1st two systems? Just an oversight?
He did though. He flies to each system with 2 infantry, and then builds 2 infantry out of those 'for free' because of Sarween. After taking the first two systems he has a combined 8 infantry on them.
Production happens at the end of the activation phase. Arborec infantry have production 1. So they can each produce 1 unit after moving. He also has Sarween Tools which reduce the combined cost by one, so it's free. It's Abrborec's main ability, move their infantry, then use their production in the same activation (and it doesn't have to be infantry, it can be a ship). They are basically mini space docks
@Spikd I'm playing Arborec this weekend, and happened upon this video doing research. Could you explain why it's free with Sarween? My understanding is Sarween only reduces the cost by 1 per production phase of a tactical action, but two units were made on two different planets, which means both infantry were used to produce. Shouldn't the cost be 1 in this case?
Thanks for the great gameplay. The background noise is annoying though.

Why does he put an extra infantry when capturing planets?

Like your hair in this one, hunter :)
Hurt to see Arborec without PoK addons. At least then you can make the cruiser into a Destroyer first round and do a double expand 1st round.
