considering that Charlie was at least 10 years old when The Living Tombstone was formed, he probably grew up listening to TLT, so this put be a childhood dream fufilled for Charlie. I bet the song will sound amazing

This song is filled with lore. Just from the surface, people are leaving earth because climate change really got things to get hot. Now everywhere there are ads about leaving earth and moving to different planets. But listening to the lyrics you can tell that, cg5 is two different characters. At the very beginning he is earth. And then when he says "leaving never sayin' goodbye" he is now "the man on mars". So basically, the earth wants the humans to be on earth, wich is kinda counterintuitive since they are polluting the earth. There is alot of evidence that this is a love relationship. Strongest being at 0:43 where there is a tinder like app and the user is scrolling through the people most fitting, but skips earth. Another fact mentioned by "Savvy The Divine Yet Huggable": at 1:32 there is a text at the below the moon saying: "* * Face your guilt every day" And above that text there is a text saying "maybe the moon!?* *" meaning that by being on the moon you are facing your guilt. And guess who we are facing on the moon: The earth. So the earth is our guilt and that explains the toxic relationship between the earth and the humans.
The more I think about it, the more it seems like "the man on mars" is fighting himself to not go back to earth, even though he really want's to. There are two stages of the man on mars. One stage is where he doesn't give a care about earth and a stage where he is almost desperate to go back to earth. Like when he says "Leave before I change my mind." That would explain why there is this VR headset all about seeing earth, while on mars. I assume it's the early version of earth, where the relationship was good. aka you could still live on it. Because our earth can't be replaced. It's the perfect planet for humans, for now. . . at least.

The lyrics depict a toxic relationship where the singer is a manipulative controller. So what you're saying makes sense. Humanity is manipulating the earth to think it needs us, when in reality it's just how the human race has forced the Earth to think.

Yet again, another amazing song by The Living Tombstone with beautiful vocals from CG5, but the song feels like it was cut off prematurely. Now, I don't know music terminology, but this feels like this is lacking the stereotypical "final unique section before the reprised chorus with extra instrumentation kicks in" and it makes the song feel so much shorter than it should be. Maybe there's a reason such as it being an artistic choice (As the song is named TEMPORARY Love) or they had time constraints, but other than that, I love this song and it's definitely going to be stuck in my head for the next few days. Keep up the godly work!

if we think about it, this song is a warning to the future
in the begining, we see tons and tons of electronics in a world that really seems devastaded, while rest of the video looks kinda futuristic style.
most of the times, there's ADs on the screen talking about going to mars and escape earth, and when someone is using their phone, we can see a photo of a destroyed earth with the captions "too hot", and also in the livestream part we can see someone talking about earth's temperature, which are both reffering to the global warming.
in the beginning lyrics Charlie was talking about someone or something don't deserving him, and thinking that they're hurting him, and later on he says "I dont know why you would ever let me hurt you" and "that you know I don't deserve you", as if the first part of the song its reffering to the people who caused the earth to have this tragic end, and then, the people who done nothing, paying for their actions, and apologizing for the mistake of the others.
the "temporary love" would mean the people who really cared about the earth who had fallen in love with it, but then soon after, it was taken away from them.

theres something about framing the video like a TV ad that adds so much to it I can scarcely describe it
Imagine you living in one of these apartments.
You see a hologram of Charlie taking over the view of the moon and constellations.
Honestly one of the best TLT songs, super catchy, and TLT's way of making instrumentals really fit well with Charlie's vocals.
It's still a shame we aren't getting any instrumentals anymore, while I think the vocals fit in really well it would be really interesting to listen to the instrumental from a music producer's standpoint
EDIT: The lyrics are also really interesting. It almost sounds like a conversation between humans and Earth because everyone is moving to Mars. "Before your time runs out, I'm gonna let you down. Might be a man of Mars, before i need you again"

the visuals on the song are actually kinda futuristic, and also in the visuals there's a part saying "escape earth", the time runnin' out thing may be because earth is basically on it's end, and we can see also some buildings kinda rusty, at the beginning of the song we can also see that the scenery it's basically destroyed, filled with electronics.
this song is probably about the fact that humans are destroying earth and our love by it would be temporary because of these people who are the ones behind all of the shit while thinking only about themselves, as we can also see in the beginning lyrics: "let me know you wont deserve me" and later in the song "i dont know why, you would ever let me hurt you" like they're feeling guilty for the end of the world.
in the livestream part of the song, we can see someone talking about the temperature on earth, which could be relating to the global warming
