Thanks for these POV test drives and review videos! I’ve ordered a Kona Premium Hybrid here in Australia but have not had a chance to test drive it yet, so these videos are very useful to me while I patiently wait for mine to arrive. It seems quite smooth and the hybrid drivetrain switches between petrol and electric modes seamlessly. You can hardly tell when the petrol engine starts unless you’re looking at the revs on the dash. What was the fuel economy like? Thanks again for your detailed and high quality videos. Subscribed!

thanks :) congrats and great to hear you love the videos! There are new ones coming too in the upcoming days, so stay tuned. In the city I managed below 5 litres per 100 km. Integration is really seamless you can't feel or hear it, just like you said, only revs tell you that now the petrol engine is also on, really good system

I am also waiting for mine to arrive - Hybrid Premium N Line with sunroof
I am baffled that you have bought one but haven't test drove one. Did the dealer not have one to test?
Dealer here in South Australia let me take one for as long as I would like, ended up driving it for about 3hrs

@@daonlyace I ordered it in August before the hybrid had arrived in Australia, so was unable to test drive it at the time. I did have a “subject to test drive” clause in the contract though. I have since driven it and am very happy with the way it drives. The hybrid system is very smooth and it’s perfect for the type of driving we do, which is mainly pottering around the suburbs.

I was very surprised how well they drive and how efficient they are.
Recently sold my late model Volvo and went and test drove all makes and models before settling on the Kona.
It definitely stood out from the crowd.
Can't wait until it arrives

@@daonlyace same here, I test drove a bunch of cars before deciding on the Kona. It’s replacing our CX-5 Turbo which is coming up to 5 years old. We wanted something more fuel efficient and the Kona suits our needs well. Only thing is that it was supposed to be delivered by now, but there have been production delays and it will probably only arrive next year. Just playing the waiting game now…

Zdravo :) thanks for the comment :) I filmed the US spec model in New York. Which powertrains are available there?

@@crospotter13 At the moment we only get the 2.0 naturally aspirated paired to a CVT automatic and the 1.6 turbo paired to an 8 speed automatic. The EV should be available later.

The new Kona looks so cool. My only wish is that they would have toned rear lights glass so it does not stick out.
