For years all I had was a cutting torch and grinder. I just got a plasma torch a couple years ago and it is a phenomenal improvement. Clean up of cuts has been cut to a minimum as you know. Jorge, this is a very good project. Designed and built very well !! Nice video and very well done Jorge.
Thanks. I like to work on projects but this house I am trying to remodel is just beating me left and right. Basically problem after problem and will require my Stihl demolition saw to cut the concrete floor now. I have never owned or used a torch and my first cutting tool besides a grinder was a used Stihl Ts400 demolition saw with 14" diamond blade. I remember cutting tons of oil field pipes with that blade till it ran out of diamonds lol. Plasma cutters are awesome, I actually had a give away on a Prime Weld cut50DP and about to make video to announce the winner. The powermax45 is also a beast of a cutter. Thanks for stopping by.
@@cutweldngrind I used many a demo saw in my 40+ year commercial HVAC career. We cut roofing material for installing roof top heating and a/c units and many other pieces of equipment. The rental companies charged for blade use by measuring the depth of the diamonds before and after....plus the daily rental charge. I've been using oxygen acetylene torches for close to 50 years and the difference between them and the plasma is like night and day !!.. Because I do use 3/4'' plate I went with the Hypertherm 65 and it is also a beast. I'll be installing a cnc table soon and that will go on the table.
@@tractorman4461 I would really like to see a cnc table project. I have wanted to try buying one since my powermax45 has a port for cnc tables. I have a vacant lot that I want to build a metal building and would be perfect to install a 4x8 table. Have you worked with the software before needed for plasma cutting.
@@cutweldngrind I have not personally worked with a cnc table of any type. My Hypertherm 65 is also compatible with most standard tables and software as well. I will rely on the local rep to steer me to the best software/table for my use.
Lucky you these girls putting in their applications gotta let the wife hold the camera so they can see her that set up for the winch pretty neat I like it
The winch setup came out good. I was going to use the harbor freight kit but I was going to have to modify it so decided to start from scratch. These darn spammers keep following me and posting junk. 3 bit the dust already lol
Nice to have a plasma cutter, unfortunately very few people have them. I was all gun hoe about building one until I saw you had the plasma cutter to do the work. LOL Now not so much.
I used to use my cutting wheels and band saw for many projects before buying a plasma cutter. I recently gave away a PrimeWeld Cut50DP plasma cutter that cost around $399 and worked great which would be nice for beginners. The Powermax 45 I have retails over $2400 but got it used with no warranty for 600 or 700 dollars which was a gamble. The plasma cutters also require a big compressor so more money to spend. I may try doing more videos using cutting wheels. Thanks for watching.
@@cutweldngrind Ok was just looking at plasma cutters for home hobby use 120v that will cut up to 1/4 inch They cost less than my small wire welder did. Now I have to figure out if I really need one or not LOL
I like the size of that cable. I've always been shit scared of those smaller cables breaking. I broke my collor bone a few years back when a big cable let go that was attached to a digger.
I actually busted a chain that I hooked up to this winch and the chain flew and hit my headache rack. That's when I found out the GIN pole setup had issues. I am scared of cables and chains as I have seen some stuff before.

Looks like its coming along really nice, looking forward on the trial test... I like how the plasma cutter cut that 1/4 plate like butter👍👍

F****** bad a** bro nice job
Just curious of what size compressor you are using for your plasma cutter
This year I'm using the Dewalt 60 gallon which replaced the Husky 30 gallon. You can find them on my channel but the Dewalt works really well.
BEST 50 bucks... lol
I tried attaching a 3 point attachment and well I need more HP.
