    My buddy gave me an angle grinder and it already had a grinding wheel on it (Type 27). He must’ve always used it at an angle because that’s how it was shaped. It’s getting time to replace it and I was wondering what the differences were. I think I oughta just start out with a Type 29 since that’s how I want to use it anyway

      I was surprised to see all the accessories that came with the grinder especially the extra battery. I believe I got a good runtime off 1 battery compared to my other grinder. I use my corded Dewalt grinders most of the time but for remote locations or a quick jobs these are nice additions to the tool box.

    Does the 2610 seem to handle the weight of the kg4066? It’s listed on Kioti site at 427lbs vs the KG60 at 286lbs. Any issues? would you buy same grapple again?

    • @cutweldngrind
      @cutweldngrind 5 днів тому

      I had no clue there was a lighter model till about 4 months after purchase. Honestly the grapple works great, I lift heavy stuff all the time. The advantage on the KG60 would be allowing the loader to lift about 100lbs more. I haven't seen one side by side to see the build quality or material thickness either. Currently I have zero issues unless you want to count paint chips from me lifting rocks, metal pipes and concrete culverts. I actually tried to lift a 1200lb concrete culvert, actually 6 culverts lol. If I lost this grapple I would buy the same one.

      This unit works great and believe there is a bigger or newer model available. I use this plasma cutter the most and I have about 10 machines. The Hypertherm Powermax 45 was my go too machine but now its just collecting dust. The Primeweld Cut 60 is also a powerhouse and attached to my CNC table. The Arccaptain is light and has the right power to cut the material I toss at it.

I know nothing about it.....i bough some plain foam panels , i cut them to size and put them touching the wood panels ( they fit good under pressure) on top of that, i put the silver. Barrier...i staple it. But i stopped when somebody told me was wrong..now am not sure. It made sense to have a panel foam barrier in between the wood panel and the silver heat barrier. Am i wrong?

    They sell single use rattle can version of this product. Remember, nothing man made is perfect but just be glad it wasn't $1,380 of PPG products... it would be way worse. I do truly appreciate your honesty about the prep-work and the aged review after dropping some heavy stuff. Thank God it wasn't your leg, foot or toe! You mentioned "Gym" poles. While the description fits many uses, we bolted "Gym" poles to microwave and TV towers at 300ft to 1,500ft to lift the next sections up to be bolted in. Scared in Texas as "Free-Standing" relay or transmitter towers had a ladder on each opposite side. So you had to walk the tilted angle iron to the other side, then repeat 14 more times. Thank you as I am doing the frame with their epoxy and then Raptor and bottom of cab of a 67 C10 PU. Thanks! ASE Master Tech since 78.

    • @cutweldngrind
      @cutweldngrind Місяць тому

      I am not familiar with the rattle can version, are they similar to the cans that have a separate chamber for the catalyst/ hardener? I would like to own a C10 pickup but hard to find any project vehicles around here. I tend to always explain or show my errors so others can learn and avoid throwing money away. We have radios on some towers at work but most our towers are 80 ft and the rentals have our equipment at least on the 450ft mark. I use an arial lift / manlift for the 80ft towers and that's about all. Thanks for stopping by and good luck on your project.

    I need some of that big Schedule 40 for a cheater bar to straighten my bale spike! 😄 Since this comment is coming in 9 months late, perhaps you've discovered the use of chains to share the load with the top of your bucket. I didn't think a stump and root ball was going to weigh enough to break anything if I skipped chaining up to the top of the bucket, but damn if I didn't actually tear open a front corner of my loader's bucket. Ugh! On the other hand, that bucket has been through 58 years of abuse on a '66 Massey, so I guess it was due for a failure.

    I'm sure if you were in the head, it's quite noisy, but a hundred feet below , on the ground it's pretty quiet. You can hear it clank once in a while as it shifts in the wind, but it's quieter than the farm equipment that are often near them.

    You could treat the cutting surfaces with some hard alloy stick rods to make them last longer I think. Seems to work good.

      I've been so tied up and barely noticed its been 3 weeks since upload. My plan was to add some hard facing like you mentioned. We had some rain and the brush is easily yanked if caught between the teeth for sure. I got some carriage bolts just need to install them later next week to keep the blade in place. I put about 10 hours before the blade fell off due to missing bolts. Thanks for the suggestions.

      You and me both! I still have not made time or found time to try it out. I walk outside every day and see it there but one day I will get it going.

      Yes it does. We had some rain and the brush really gets yanked out now. I am still pending the bolts that I will install mid next week.

      Thanks. I've wanted one for a while but was unsure if it would work for my needs. I did try it on compacted road base material and did well.
