Spectacular Lightning and Colorful Mammatus - June 13, 2022, Schoolcraft, Michigan

- Brilliant mammatus display under an eerie rusty sky glow. The intracloud flash-rate from this departing line of supercell thunderstorms was out-of-this world. As darkness settles in, there are a few extensive "anvil crawler" lightning events that streak for tens of miles across the sky.
I shot footage at 60 frames per second so I could replay the more vivid lighting discharges at 50% speed 30 fps. Again, the lightning was extraordinary. I managed to capture a lot of random flashing in the 30x sped-up footage, even sampling only 1 of every 60 frames.

Beautiful. Very beautiful music.
Wow amazing thanks for sharing my dear
Pure awesomeness!!
These storms moved all the way through Ohio. They continued for hours into the night. Did you get any damage near you?
I wasn’t there, but have you seen any of the wind footage from Fort Wayne? It looks like a hurricane coming through!
majestic!
Witnessed similar lightning when I almost caught up to the storm near Michigan City. Unfortunately I was having camera issues then and the storm was already wrapping up.
Glad that you got the colorful mammatus/crawler display.
There was also a positive CG barrage on the back side of the Van Buren County cell, but I was too busy driving and navigating to film it. I just heard some big booms through the car. My windshield suction mount for my gopro broke and I didn’t have time to buy a new one before I left to chase.
@@marshallsweatherhiking1820 Yeah I witnessed that too... looks like it threw out some +CGs out in the back. It was still too far away for useful footage.
@@thelightninghunter23 This person got some. It was in pretty heavy rain though.
