I love that Fuller already knew the story about each of the cars and that he actually knew the owners it really shows his passion for the Z 👍
Rob is an absolute legend. Love his passion for the almighty z car
AKA Colonel Zanders
Met him in person at Z Con. Really cool dude just as nice in person. Amazed to see him checking out my car and loving it.
Unless it's a Z31
A cool sir.
Larry , LARRY, Larry, we can all ,always count on y"ou to , find an cover, The Z ! No matter where in the World , you are ! So as a Z Guy ,thank you for all, the Z Content
That black and red anniversary 280zx is insane!! I didn't know those even existed
That was an insane model! There was an episode of pawn stars where some guy was trying to sell his but it was in really bad shape and they didn't end up buying it from the guy.
homie just wanted to leave his finger prints on all those gems lmao
Another great episode with Rob! I met him at Amelia island. Super genuine and fun to chat with for sure.
Thank you for showing klassic fabrication and explaining there products!! I think it’s extremely important to know that there are people still passionate about older Japanese cars and making parts locally here to be able to restore and give us hope to save the older cars that practically all of them got crushed due to rust. I can tell you from my experience that there were many cool Toyota and Nissan cars that died because of rust and no parts available to fix them.
This is it !! Make no mistake where you are.. Datsun for LIFE, boi.
Hiw did I not know that this was in the Springs? I live 45 minutes away and missed it all! Bummer!!!
That 10th anniversary is AMAZING! Wow! So beautiful!
That first s30z!! My god! The best color combo on any s30!! So beautiful!😍
I love the pace car. I didn't know about that until this video and I do a lot of Z work myself. BTW I love Klassic Fab JDM/ KV vintage panels. They make restorations a breeze!
Larry is in a candy shop. And with the correct person to share the experience too.
And those guys from KlassicFab, they're awesome for what they're doing.
41:43 What an inspiring amd powerful qoute, the 400z gives me hope not only for the next generation of Nissan but the entire industry as a whole.
I could listen to rob all day to be honest
Wow. Perserving history for real. I always love these cars. I thought i knew alot until i seen this video. Great job guys. Thanks✌
Love love Lary and Rob! I just want to hand out with you guys anywhere with Z cars! Keep the awesome content coming Larry! When I was very young my dad had a friend with a 240Z and I fell in love right away! It was orange and he took us for a ride. That was all it took for me. I have had a 200sx V6 and a 350Z! I only hope to own the new Z one day!
Primadonna Z, is my favorite. Widebody EVERYTHING
Hangin before work with nothing to do, and BAM! 45 minutes of Larry Chen brilliance! Funk yeaaaah. 🤙
Larry! Get that Primadonna Z on the show! Build Biology
Dude! Linda Williams is my dad's cousin. That's awesome her car is in your video!
Thank you for this, what a group of amazing vehicles. Z cars are boss af. 🤘🔥😎🔥🤘
I just love this!
Day after Christmas , my 3rd time watching...because you and Rob are so Z focused and like me intently S30 focused. Its like listening to your native language ,talking about a favorite Sports Car!
Wait it's not LIKE it, that's exactly what it is !!!
I never tire of Rob and Larry and the S30..... Maybe someday, but I can't see that far into the future !
Woulda been nice to go to ZCON this year :/ .. Loved the video Larry, keep them up!
I can listen to Rob and Larry talk Z for hours.
I owned one of the 50 replica pace cars in 1972. The 50 were distributed to Southern California Datsun dealers to sell. I bought mine from Redlands Datsun. They painted the top for me in solid blue instead of having the white circle for no charge. Mine was sold without the stickers other than the painted Datsun on front fenders. I still have a couple of Polaroid pictures of mine. Unfortunately I traded it in around 1976. I have never seen one since.
We enjoyed the trip down 'Z' memory lane to date. Personally I think the 2024 370z has lost that special drivers feel that makes all 'Z' owners very happy. Thanks for sharing.
And Rob is singing Don McClean Miss American Pie. Let’s go Rob! U
that radio was a Hitachi!!! LMAO...like a rice cooker...I remember my 280ZX with that radio!!!
Thank you for making this 🙏
I got Goosebumps on that ending
I wish I could firmly shake Jake's hand with honor that top shelve work hes done from the parking lot hats off to you sir hats off 2u beautiful job..
Loves these z cars here brings me back. N da new ones too . Ya hook this vlog up. . Wait 12 miles on that red n black on da 12 miles only . Da owners is so clue . N his car history . All da details still in tact so cool.
Very true! He did my build and tune on my 03 350Z Stillen Supercharged and almost 2 years now with stock engine and runs strong. As a matter of fact hurt feelings last night on a Challenger R/T and stage 2 STI when all they saw was my tailights:)
I just inherited my Mother’s 1986 Nissan 300 ZX - it’s all original and in great shape - she is 85 and bought it off the showroom floor from Oxnard Nissan .
The trophy car melted my heart heart which will be 41 in october... great video
Love the new z cant wait to see one in person
Great vid guys.
I just smiled for 42 minutes and 41 seconds.
Love seeing the z31s
This is soooooooo my jam!!!!
The best Z is the Z you have! Mine is a 86 300zx owned for 30 years. Hello from Chattanooga Tn.
Best episode ever! Rob is my hero I hope one day he will touch and help with my 240
I love seeing you guys together 🤣
:21 That's my R32 GTR. Thank You Larry.
I love Nissan the Skyline the silvia but the Z has always had a special place in my hart, my dad had a 240Z when i was a boy and i loved the way it looked, to me it captured the essence of what a sports car should be. I hope and pray that the new 400Z be my first New car
Best video on this channel yet!
I had a 280ZX and then the 300ZX that came after that. Those were fun times in my 20's.
Too cool for school. 😎🤘
amazing cars
Bought my Panasports from Rob, terrific guy.
Larry, those ZX T-top shades do not suction to the glass. The tops had two plastic bosses that the shade screws in to.
Fun fact: Those fuel gauges with the secondary needle for the last quarter tank was highly accurate. You could run it down to the last pint.
Well alright I see you Kenny Loggins. Music he’s sing is period correct along with these 80’s Z’s👍
Man oh man!
Those blue seats though 🤤🤤🤤🤤
Watching this and aligning my 280 and that new Z is beautiful. Hopefully I can snag one when I “finish” this one lol as If that’s ever gonna happen
Really enjoyed the video! Need more.
Ps: Rob doesn't mean no harm, but someone pls tell him to stop touching so much. Looked like the owner of the black&red Z was cringing. I would hate to see finger grease on my car too, so i could only imagine..
Great story about the 12 mile 280ZX. I think by now the air that is in it is not 40 years old. How many tires can hold air for 40 years without leaking?
KlassicFab really does make the best aftermarket replacement metal out there.
A car staycation😎
That LS Z32 is pretty dang clean, but it needs a 6 speed swap!
at 42:03 can someone tell me where I can find more video footage of this 280zx? Looks SWEET
Our neighbours had an NA 300Z back n the day, he's not wrong, they were kinda underpowered boats, esp compared to the earlier z-cars (another neighbour had a show 260ZX with the JDM plastic over the headlights, braided leads, chromed everything, etc etc)
That Safari 280 is so bad ass!
I wish I was there so cool 😎
I'm surprised no one has offered to laser scan some of these original cars, no less Nissan coming back to reclaim them for the museum.
Amazing treasure
I’d even feel weird having the sun baking that black and red (new) 40 year old 280zx. I’d have had that under a shade lol that interior probably just dying to crack from the age alone
I'm on my third Z from a 72, 73 and now a 75... It's an addiction...
Thanks for the video and finding that company kfvintage. Finally someone who makes quality parts at a affordable costs for z cars. Hell yeah I can find parts for my 72 z
I really like the ZX but the 79 and up Zs lost the sports car feel and went for the plush. Still a beautiful gem.I remember doing the PDI on both anniversary ZXs that Doug Williams brought in 83.
Okay Larry, how in the hell did I not see you here?!? You remember a couple weeks ago when I was complaining about Orange Bang not being there? I assumed that meant you weren’t here either.... Dammit man, one of these days we gotta have a beer together and rap about our shared passion of all things automotive
"We don't outsource any stuff to China or India"
"So where are you?"
"Colombia"
lol
Sounded like the company is Colombian and he is the US liaison
I own the company..Im a US Marine veteran, Im Colombian American, and all these panels are made in my shop in Bogota Colombia...the shop is owned and run by me and my wife...
@@klassicfab, I thank you for your service, sir, but I appreciate your love of Datsun more.👍🏿
@@klassicfab Fair enough! Just the way he was talking I was expecting to hear that it was somewhere in the US
@@FunkingPrink We tried to manufacture our products here in South Florida, we practically got driven out by the county. We set up shop in Bogota 20 years ago, we have been there since..we import into Colombia all our equipment from the US..we try to buy everything from the US...one day we hope to be able to move the factory to the states..
God id love an early Z... it would need four seats though but I'm not a fan of the 2+2 roof line..
Larry needs to go see Jimmy Oaks z32's!
Not a Z32 fan and also an oem purist, but that prima car is incredible as far as execution.
33:00 hey i wanna work there, those parts are incredible looking! and im Bogota Right now!
He had me until he said ‘original air in the tyres’
Is the green one in the beginning the same car that auctioned for $300K?
Love this channel. As for #355 being all OG, interesting as it's not displayed as such. Bumpers aren't original, they are the smooth units, no bumperettes or rubber guards on them either. The choke knob is a later date issued unit, the metal rivets holding the taillight panels aren't the original black plastic units, many engine bay hoses have been replaced, the master cylinder and booster have been replaced, the ignition coil, plug wires, and battery cables all replaced, I could probably go on. Was this a restoration at one point, there's just too many new items. It's a very fine Z and presentation is up there, but many changes have been made. This is why its so difficult to find an untouched early 240Z, once you start to service them and find original bits are in need of replacement, you upset the "its only original once" theme.
#355 is a "work in progress". It is in the "modified street" category at ZCON as several things are not original as you have pointed out. The choke knob is the original knob that arrived on the car in 1970. As you know, it is extremely difficult to locate some of the parts needed for this car to be "stock". We are not even attempting to do that.
@@bettykutchera4252 Understood, its common to see them getting away from true original form. Someone must have swapped the choke knob, as its a '72-'73 design. Same with the shift boot, later tie style model. If you wanted the earlier boot, its available as a reproduction. Nice to see the first gen hood bumpers still in place next to the wiper cowl and a swapped plastic fan instead of the original metal unit which was known for prematurely wearing out water pump bearings. None the less, its a very nice 240 and awesome to see in this overall condition. I hear ya, some of the earliest parts known to be on the '69's and early '70's are near impossible to source and if someone has what you're looking for expect to pay up. Your seats may have fresh vinyl covers on them, but do you remember seeing or having the black plastic curved corner protectors on the seats which were held in by three small screws to the frame? Those were scrapped on many early 240's due to them pinching the back of the leg once the seats support started to give too much. I had them on one of my early 240's and removed them as they started to crack. Those are also offered as a reproduction part. If you wanted to return the aftermarket semi-power antenna to the original bullet style design, those can be sourced. You can also source an emissions sticker for under the hood if you want to showcase that as well even though there's limited smog equipment remaining on your Z. You can also return to all the braided engine hoses if you prefer that look as well. The one item I have been searching for is original issue spark plug wires, those are hard to come by and only real useful if one is still running a points distributor. Glad to see this at any rate, its refreshing to view more original Z's over all the modified one's were constantly hit with.
@@MrDatsun Thanks for the info. I do remember those black plastic corner protectors that pinched your legs. LOL!
Off topic question, but for as long and as much as autofocus has been an active channel, why is the outro music still startlingly loud; especially for us headphone users?
sometimes I end up falling asleep and get unpleasantly woken up by it. Like the audio for normal tone of voice is 9 times out of 10 pretty quite, so then we forget after a 40+ minute episode and well, that only amplifies the obnoxious volume of the outro. Please adjust the volume levels or balance them out to more reasonable levels…
My man breaks out in Kenny Loggins song randomly ~33:45 😂
i love rob fuller man ZGOD car hahaha
Hope they do re pop panels with troy
I was upset when it got posted the other day and I got 15 mins into it and then you deleted it. But now I get my Larry fix!
These 40 minutes flew by, I can watch and hear Rob talking for hours.
That song at the end?
The sheet metal guy what was the name of the business? I need some stuff for my Z.
Where can I find the outro song please
Original AIR
The Z is the best Nissan. I’d pick it over the skyline any day 😬
wheres the z31's at
🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍
What are the best things to do when shooting in broad daylight like this?
kinda like Rob's twin cam heads!
were the teammates teasing
Where’s the z31s ?
Jimmy Oakes has two beautiful Z32s! One is Ls powered as well.
