I have the same quad. Been wanting to remove the canister too. Good video. but is that hose you extended to the rear the gas tank a vent? Because your supposed to have a gas cap that has a vent hose.
Thankyou appreciate it, and yes the hose I extended to the rear is acting as a vent but its really up to you if you wanna keep that hose or cap it as well and just buy a new gas cap with a vent hose built into it like any other traditional quad would which is something I am going to do but the way i did it is just for now but it wouldnt hurt leaving it as is because the hose I extended is coming from where the gas cap is you just cant see it because its under the plastics(in other words instead of the hose coming out the top of the cap like normal the hose is coming out the side under your plastics and reaching down to where I extended it), so its acting like a traditional gas cap with a vent hose attached to it therefore that hose its still acting as a vent, let me know for any other questions 👍
Not a man of politics, but what i removed does not affect performance at all but in some cases if the charcoal canister is left on the bike it can cause hot start problems, these are added onto the bike to pass emission tests to be able to sell in California, removing does not have any side affects these things are sold without it outside of California
@@jacktheripper-hp9tx this is not just based off my knowledge, this information is all over forums and from people that have these bikes outside California and also from people that have removed it as well, therefore the charcoal canister sole purpose on this bike is to be able to pass emissions to then be able to sell in California as i stated before, but to everyone their own this is just a simple video on how to remove it and does not harm the bike once so ever
