      nah. Vic was basically a prophet on Innanetape. He sold out, and got exposed when he released his new mixtape that he was not the creative genius we thought he was. Sad. thought he was gonna be one of the greats.

    • @j.money9949
      @j.money9949 8 років тому

      Derek Watson well I'm going to have to beg to differ, the only songs that are really mainstream to the point where I'd say he sold out are Liquor Locker and New Bae, now if you think because his new tape doesnt sound like Innanetape then I can see where you are coming from but at the same time he's still rapping and giving us what we want, tbh he's improved a lot since Innanetape not to mention I believe he said he's releasing more music this year

    • @albert1144
      @albert1144 8 років тому +2

      Right smh that's what I've been saying.....Innanetape Vic was literally in the same vein as Chance. He was independent in rap caliber, making music, etc--LITERALLY the onlly rapper who could ride in the same lane as Chance but be different. He can still redeem himself because TALGO wasn't bad but smh

      I low-key wish it was just him and sia.
      I loooovvvveee Kanye. But its not like he is producing anything anymore. He's just like Rihanna now, in that he commissions tons of people to send him tons and tons of demos.

      solarge knowles The heck are you on about? His last 3 solo albums are very much so all him. Just cus he has a large creative team to help him doesn't mean they are the ones who made the songs. It's similiar to how a composer or a film director has a large group of people utilizing their resources to help fulfill their vision.

    It seems like core fans of any artist are always insecure about their place in the fan base, like being first in line and chastising everyone that got in line after them. Why cant we just come together and appreciate the music? Why tear each other down? Idk. But i cant get too mad, ive caught myself feeling the same way before.

      Primophobic Totally get it, and agree with you. But I think I know why.
      This song is dope as shit. And it's because he had great producers behind him, and experience. I remember songs like Darlin', from kids these days, when he had neither, and I loved it. Nobody told me to find him - I found him, and I stuck my neck out, and showed him to friends.
      Vic's made it. I'm happy. He deserves it. But those of us who were there from the start - We're part of why he made it. We were special. And now we're less special - We're just more fans. We're scared, because we feel less important.
      And that's bullshit. I was a fan of Vic before. I'm a fan of Vic now. I showed him to friends. I don't get to be mad at my friends because they liked it haha. Let's all shut up and enjoy the music :P. I didn't write it. They did.

    Vic is gonna really blow up Globally, The sound that he is coming with no other rapper is doing, Vic is a true music artist that is creating a whole new lane for Hip Hop coming out of the U.S. and not to mention how creative and well played out the video was . I would have never though i would like a song that had House or GoGo sound to it, But he just opened my ears up to a whole new genre, Creativity is endless, We need more Creators in this world.
