So smartypants, what does rising tide mean in practice?

- Thank you for the question and making me think about this all day!
I don't see myself as the person who can speak or has the authority to speak on this, but perhaps that is exactly what the problem is?
I forgot to say something that might make more sense …. I saw some of you had shared links to my video in some Facebook groups and I felt lifted by you guys. That was story number two that I should have said!
A rising tide lifts all ships is a good way to spread your success, share some of the good you are experiencing and acknowledging that everyone could use a lift! It is letting everyone eat at the dinner table! ❤
Your view is as valid as anyone’s. For me “A rising tide…..” means don’t look to profit (not just financially) from everything you do, if others benefit ultimately it will benefit society as a whole, ergo ultimately back on you as well in an indirect way.
From a different angle: we can see the effect on society (and thus, on us) when a rising tide (e.g. economic prosperity, dramatic increases in production, etc.) DON'T raise all boats.
IMO the rising tide lift all ship is more like sharing from the place where you recive. I'm enjoying Ren's music and it bring me joy and it make me grow as a humain being, it make me think and respect other in a better way that I used to, so by sharing what I receive from Ren's music I rise and help other to rise as well, and at the end Ren quipe rising to. The other way of what you're talking IMO is more like ''making'' the wave. When you the one who iniate the movement you start the wave, the reple effect will rise other, but you become the one that start the wave, wish is different. Like your volonteer exemple, that lady start the wave by giving you the thank you note, wish at some point rise you to a new level of awarness of your own impact on other. I hope this all make sens. Ok check this out, as Ren gets more popular, his music reaches more and more people, so then there's a lot more people who would want to watch reaction videos. So that's a rising tide that's lifting the boats of the reactors, and then it works the other way too. As more people watch more and more reaction videos, there's a greater chance that they will hear Ren's music, so then a reactor's rising tide, also helps Ren.
I think this might answer questions, maybe not,
In Ren's Love Music part 1 he says, " If you put people down, you're affecting yourself. If you bring people up, your award is much more you can earn in a week"
Being a rising tide is bringing other people up, whether it is small, like giving a compliment on their hair, just something to put a smile on their face, or even put them in a better mood.
If someone wasn't having a good day just a simple compliment make it so much better.
My problem with this term unfortunately a rising tide can come crashing down. That has been my experience.

@@JoanneWhitlock I know, that's terrible, it's supposed to be a good thing. When you try your best to be a rising tide for others but when you need a rising tide yourself and there is no tide to lift you.. You crash. If everyone lived by this, it would be better.
I think you nailed the subject. Your and my part in the rising tide is telling people who don't know. People who might also share that with others... very thoughtful conversation. Nice video!

A rising tide, someone who is growing and doing well for themselves in a particular area, they value teamwork, and this person continues to grow themselves while helping others to do the same for themselves. Then you add the rising tide, lifts all boats, someone who then helps others reach their full potential. At least this is how I take it, lol. Or I have gone on a tangent a little, haha...
