    Now, I’m not a scientist, but that science question about cells had me confused. Both Mitosis and meiosis are the processes for animal and plant cells respectively to split their nucleus and reproduce. I did a quick google search and found 1 article mention “Fission” and not even binary fission. Plus I remember fission involving atoms, not cells. Again, this isn’t my profession, I’m a Film/Arts student. I just got confused and did a google search

    • @askthepizzaguy
      @askthepizzaguy 11 місяців тому +3

      If you google "what is the difference between binary fission and mitosis" the top result explains that binary fission is what prokaryotic life forms (bacteria) do to divide, whereas mitosis is exclusive to eukaryotic (plant and animal) cells.
      Not that I don't understand your confusion, I picked mitosis myself and I found out I was wrong when I googled it and was told it only involves eukaryotes, so it can never be applied to the process bacteria go through. Also it mentioned that binary fission is a quicker and easier process, which is why bacteria multiply so much faster than multi-cellular life.
      I learned something and that's good. Was just surprised there was a distinction or even a difference. The distinction exists because there is, surprisingly, a difference.
      It's okay, we both learned something, and that's a positive no matter what.

    In Canada we use alot of imperial measurements and alot of metric measurements, each for very specific things only. Like we measure ourselves exclusively in imperial, pounds, feet and inches etc, but things like roads, distance, gas and our food are almost exclusively in metric. We may use cups for measuring some liquid but we will never get into the quarts or gallons. Genuinely the only time I heard somebody use the word quart as a measurement was when they asked me to get a quart of paint, and then I panic bought the smallest one. That question popping up had me so genuinely baffled and stunned I had absolutely no clue what that man was saying.

    Dan is correct, the Statue of Liberty is technically in the state of New Jersey. It was agreed upon that it would be considered a part of New York City even though it falls within the coastal territory belonging to New Jersey.

That part of the island was artificially filled in after a long fight over who owned the island that NY won. But since that part of the island was outside of the set border it was given to NJ. 😂

    The cell reproduction thing is literally 9th grade gt biology. The difficulty is so completely out of whack in this game. The fact that "how many e's are in 'memento'" was actually supposed to be harder than picking out the exact location of a specific religious monument on a world Atlas is absurd on its face.
