Hi, Sorry for another comment but just in case other technicians are reading this you always have to set up the lower first and use the set-up plates in checking the balanced occlusion, even if it looks good doesn't mean the patient feels good in their mouth. I have set up dentures with a Curve of Spee using a 0 or 10 degree set up technique ( I combine Swissdent, Ivoclar and Dentsply technique ) and every single patient said they now feel more comfortable. Remember the upper jaw is fixed and the lower is the one that moves and also don't forget to check forward and side movements to check balances contacts. Follow this simple suggestion and you can properly set-up all class types with patients feeling comfortable, this is your artwork so take pride. Best Regards, John
Hi, I have been a technician for over 20 years and have been doing implants including hybrids 10 years before everybody else. Note that the upper has locator attachments and lower is just partial, you have to take into account how good are the lower teeth which will also be a factor on what degree of teeth needed for this case. My suggestion on the clinical aspect including the load on the upper denture is to use a 30 degree upper teeth with 10 degree lower and if the lower teeth are not as good then use a 10 degree upper with a 0 degree lower. This will help in having the upper denture in taking too much load during excursions or bitings and before anything else make sure you cast an upper mesh on top of the attachments, this will in turn take most of the load especially when biting down. Have been doing this since the beginning and not one has come back, only see them after 15 years later to change to new high quality teeth, thanks. John Smile Dental Laboratory, inc. John I’d give anything fi you were close to fit me some teeth. The ones they made for me were the most ill fitting things I ever tried to ware. Took them out now I done have any. I’d love to have inplants but they wanted to put in more gum line I’m afraid to try due to allergies. Sorry to bore you to death.
just had full almost a full extraction two teeth at the bottom, just found out that i have a class 3bite. im nervous i sure hope my smile can be fixed...i dont think i l ike that smile much on me

Hi, how do you get that gloss finish on the wax?
Using the torch! Light touch with the flame makes everything smooth and shiny
Polishing with soapy water is another trick to make it very glossy
Grab a paper towel add soap and water and rub it throughout, it will make it really shiny
Or you can just buy a wax shine liquid and rub it on the wax it leaves it glossy

It is wax gloss. Comes as a pink liquid that you paint on the wax with a cotton tipped applicator.
