Extremely helpful video, especially the tip of orientating the coping with the flat side towards the adjacent tooth if there's a narrow interproximal space.
@@OBrienDentalLab Hi Alex, I have a question, to get a bite reg do you remove the impression coping, place the healing cap back on then take the bite reg?
@@pon372 Yes, you will typically need to remove the impression coping to take the bite, and it's a good idea to replace the healing cap first. However, if the impression coping is short enough that it doesn't extend past the occlusal table, you could take the bite with it in place.
Thank you, Doctor, for the information. The material that is placed on the head of the screw when installing the crown means the end of the work. If this material falls, will it affect the implant? Thanks
Excellent, I have a question. But maybe off-topic. Please help. The question is : Between an impression scanned by a 3D scanner and a plaster model How are they different?
Are you supposed to seat the tray until you hit the impression coping so then you would have burnthrough? Or is it fine to leave a little space like a normal impression?
Closed tray impressions are designed to be easily removed and reinserted in to the impression, and therefore they don't "lock" in to place like an open tray impression coping. Because they are "locked" in place (in the impression), open tray impression copings are typically going to have a better chance of providing greater positional accuracy. That extra accuracy may not be noticeable on single units, but when multiple implants will be tied together with a bridge or hybrid it can make a big difference.

Thanks for the feedback!
Your videos are excellent. They are easy to follow and always have helpful hints and reason why not do use certain techniques.
Thank you so much! We really appreciate the feedback.

Extremely helpful thank you sir!
Hey this was really well done. I have done implant placement and restorations forever and picked up a couple really good tips. Thanks!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thank you for doing this. Great tips!
You are so welcome!
Very helpful thank you
You're welcome!
Excellent .......................
Those videos should be taught in universities, instead of the vague information they used to provide
Thank you! We're certainly glad they're helpful!
Great v helpful

No, a failure of the restorative materials will not typically affect the implant.
@@OBrienDentalLab Thank you Dr

You definitely want to leave some space between the impression coping and the tray.
I need a catalog for close impression copings
Thanks … this is for screw retained crowns ?
You can use this type of impression for both screw retained and cement retained.
If taken properly, and copings are perfectly repositioned .. why don't i use it for full arch restoration
