      @@rekhasunil9386 Don't take me wrong.. but, I do not dance to lose weight, neither would I suggest anyone to perform Bharatanatyam to lose weight. Classical art forms are much more than just fitness, is my belief :) So I haven't given a thought as to which adavu would help me lose weight. I'm sorry :)

    Thank you akka for this useful video....can you make any video for the kuthithumetadavu .....that it is hard to only jump in our leg part ....we tend to jump fully with our body ....how to practice it well and do it perfectly akka ..

      Well, you need to have good leg strength to balance on your toes without getting up from araimandi!

    Very smooth movements which are actually not easy at all for most people. Very nice.
    I thought of trying little, but resisted myself for fear of dislocating hip joint 😬😬😬. These are nice for hard core dancers. Not for lay persons like us.

      @@tpg9020 My teacher was trained under many gurus who practised different Banis. So you will see an amalgamation of different styles in my dancing. But predominantly it's Kalakshetra :)

    Please split Tirmanam Adavu 5th Variation which goes- Taa hata jam tari ta, jam tarri jagatari tai. in this variation, on the right side, we jump on toes, strike right leg facing backwards, place leg foot in the front and strike right and left leg respectively.

    Hi Iam also a classical dancer for 15yrs after marriage I stopped dance nearly 12yrs now I am at the age of 36 can I do it again becoz now Iam not that much strong plz suggest me becoz I love dance than me
