Got my SEW repower fired up tonight. I found that bringing the throttle cable under the battery through the firewall hole on the right side it fits perfect. Opposite side you did. Just switch the cable clamp over to the other side of the motor and it’s a perfect fit. No need to cut the heat shield.
Thanks for the tip, I trying for that side, but was worried that the cable would get kinked. I’m going to be doing some work on the hydraulics in the future, maybe I’ll try it again.
Bought motor from sew for 420 driveshaft flange don't fit now I got to spend more money having it machine flange on the motor the hole is an 1.5 inches lip on the yoke is 2
Doing repower to my 420 its taking afternoon to get the old motor out if lords will i have up tomorrow running
Just ordered my SEW repower for my 318.how long would you say it took to install?
It took about two days for me, but it could be done in a day with some help.

How do you like this repower now long term?
Has more power and quieter. I think it’s more quite than my newer Craftsman lawn tractor with Kohler motor.
