Pop had a 317 - then a 318. We used and cared for the 318 so much he had it restored. Both are gone now - but this brings back great memories! Mowing, rear scoop (hydraulic), snow blower - and Dad designed custom front mounted hydraulic log splitter. Legendary 'lawn - and so much more' tractor! Thanks for the look back - great restoration!
Great first job to break in Bruno I knew there was gona b a lot of upset ppl with the bottom of the weights 🤣 sounds like a couple tweaks n ull have him just the way u want him Happy birth Baret
Neil, how fitting breaking in Bruno on a community project I’m sure he’ll see the ball diamonds many times in his lifetime. Take care my friend and thanks for all you do.
That is a great looking build you accomplished. The first scratch is always hard to take but it's doing what you intended it to do. Great job of it and thanks for sharing the ride with us.
Bruno looks great. But look here there Bob the Builder your circles are making me dizzy...Just playing Neil you did a great job and love the fact since Bruno is not used for mowing and used for construction purposes yellow is the perfect color cause that goes with theme of all john deere equipment

@@digdrivediy ua-cam.com/users/shortsngOIpmwsuWc?feature=share Here it is! You really made all our days. Thanks again. P.S. We all approve of Bruno and it looks awesome! What a great accomplishment, congratulations!
The tractor turned out really good, I would paint the box blade construction gray and the chisel shanks, wheels, and the lift cylinder the construction yellow. 👍
Miss those T-Ball days. One of my boys had a teammate who loved that soft dirt. So he had to slide into every base, then when he got home plate, he would slide then roll all over the place in slow motion. I was laughing my butt off, but Mom was rolling her eyes thinking of the dirt getting into her car and the washing later. 😄
Tractor looks sweet with the new paint job. Now it matches with all the extra work you do outside of regular lawn care. Great job and keep the tires rolling!
Good Morning Sir 🌞THIS OUTSTANDING WORK but I will have my head spinning all night with that all turning around job 🥴🤭🤣👍 That was a test flight of that Bruno tractor 👍🧐👌💪 Yes Yes Air Pressure is the best way to clean a tractor and implements 👌👍🧐 Cheers 🍻🍻
It’s great to see it in use and glad it’s doing awesome! I’d paint that like you said with the yellow and gray. It’s always great when a project like that comes together full circle!
I loved the journey. I had a horrible accident in 2010 and ended up in a wheelchair. I used the same mental process to get out of the wheelchair. It took me longer - two years. But that keep making things better by working at it every day- it really works!
Maiden voyage worked well, always have the little issues on start up, but it seemed to work well. Did yourself proud young man, thanks for the tag along video.
I'm sure I've said it before but I do admire and envy that community spirit you guys and gals have round there. Good luck to the baseball team in the new season. Happy 4th Birthday to Barret, best wishes for your birthday young man.
Nice to see Bruno in full operation. He looks sharp with the construction paint scheme. Any way you paint the scraper will look better. I really enjoyed this series. You did an awesome job with it. Looking forward to the next project. Keep up the great content.
Looking great Neil! This reminds me of myself washing my 2032R after every use for the first 2 months…. Yea it came to a stop eventually lol. Happy birthday Barrett!
I watched all of your videos on the rebuild, just didn't comment on each one. Nice the way it turned out. I hope it serves you well, you've already gave it a good start on the ball field.
I love watching tractor restorations, but I like watching the freshly rebuilt tractors get dirty even more! It was great seeing it get put to work. Looking forward to many more jobs completed! I've always liked painting my implements to match my tractors and find that using the non-dominant tractor color as the dominant color on the implement always looks sharp. I.e. on my old Cubs, I like using IH white as the primary color and using the IH yellow for the small accents. Looking forward to seeing the blade painted!
Great video, Neil! Good to see Bruno's first "Dirty Job" 🤣🤣🤣 Don't change the color of the grading box. Let Bruno bask in the glow of his new color scheme. The surging is an odd one. That engine didn't do that before, right? Does he have a fuel filter? Could there be something in the fuel tank of the fuel lines restricting the flow of gas? I don't know. Silly of you to forget that break spring. At least it's an easy fix. The hydraulics lever being stiff could be nothing more than the lack of use after all of the "fresh" paint. I'd hit it with a little WD-40 just to be sure. Thank you for the video, Neil. Can't wait to see both of you in the next one!
Hey thanks Susan. I figured out that surging problem. It was actually a loose ground wire to my coil. I tightened it up and it's been smooth sailing ever since. Always appreciate your comments, even if I don't get to them for a week! 😞
@@digdrivediy That's alright. You're a busy guy! I'm glad you figured out the surging issue! Thanks for taking the time to answer. Take care and see you in the next video, TOMORROW! 👍👍🥰🥰🤗🤗😘😘
Yes, put 'er to work. Not just a pretty face! If that's all the bugs on a major rebuild you had to deal with, I'd be happy with that! I often find that after you get through the first big job in the rain/mud, you'll figure out how good your wiring job was. 😁
I noticed the green on the bottom of the weights but the rest of the tractor looked so good it didn't seem worth bringing up I think you should paint your grading box grey, then it will still go with your green tractors too Another great video!!
Watching these grader box videos makes me want one for my 318. It looks so relaxing. But I don’t have anything to grade and my driveway is blacktop 😂 great video, good job Bruno
I’ve already watched the build series 2 times myself and 1 time with my girlfriend ( building matching 318s) I seriously enjoy seeing the videos of the 318 working and would love to see more videos of it working. You make the best content Neil. So glad I found the channel

Very cool machine, something you are and should be proud of. I was excited for that build and it proved to be "worth the wait". What a perfect first job for Bruno to work out some kinks and get a good idea how your concept is going to work in reality. Very nice.
Great job Neil! Bruno did a wonderful job and the few bugs are to be expected. You'll get them taken care of and then you'll have a great reliable piece of equipment. I'm definitely rooting for matching Grey frame and yellow box blade for sure!. Great job on the community service project.
The industrial yellow on Bruno is pretty unique for a lawn and garden tractor. I like it, I think my next restoration will be an industrial yellow John Deere lawn/garden tractor.
Great to see Brunos first job. It's great to see the volunteer efforts you do for your community. The world could really use more of that. In my opinion I like your idea for the grey frame and yellow sides on the grater box.
Might wanna leave a little dirt on that new paint. That yellow is loud in the sunlight. Almost had me reaching for my sunglasses in my dim lit living room. I definitely dig those big ribbed front tires. Fun to see ag rears and balloon fronts on such a small tractor. I'd probably go gray or black on the attachments. That way they still match other tractors and less work if you decide to change up Brunos color down the road.
Great job on your tractor. Great video also. I do hope that you will get many years of work out of it. We have enjoyed your journey with this project and hope to see a lot more out of Bruno.
