@saadhaddadmusic so there's no need then to go through the hassle of school for 2 decades or more.....unless you want to become a professor of music. And maybe as a freelancer, if you're good enough you earn more then those with a degree
It all depends. School gives you the time and connections to develop your skills. The sooner those skills and connections come the sooner folks don’t need school anymore. In our relatively small field though (I’m not talking about film music) I haven’t seen it done. I’m talking US, not overseas by the way. It’s just my opinion! 🙏🏽

You don’t need a degree in composition to be a composer!
