- Swedish band from Umeå. They recorded this unique 7" in 1998 at Subjugation Records, a small label which existed until 2002 and released bands such as Spy Versus Spy and Tribute. The sound of Friends Unseen is defined by warm harmonies of guitars and indie pop melodies adorned with female vocal. Frinds Unseen sound similarly to such bands as Pohgoh and The Pennikurvers.
Only two songs, clearly different, truly lost jewel of the 90's.

It's from Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. As a way of protesting officials, Emile Riche painted his shack with details of his various grievances. His house was also damaged in the Missisipi flood of 1927 so he asked for compensation. If you look up online there are a bunch of photos of him and the shack

It also caught my eye, as despite looking archetypically American, there was a reference to Caernarvon. It turns out to be somewhere in Mississippi which is named after the Welsh town, and is famous mainly for a horrific flood in the 1920's, hence, I guess, the reference in the writing to the levee.
