I have a ton of customs, most are all CNC machined and expensive group buys. The Value out of this board is absolutely insane for the price. I am shocked at how well it sounds and feels out of the box too! If someone is on the fence about the board, just buy it. It's amazing for the price... truly! I got mine on sale with a amazon coupon for 68$ and tax. It's 90$ most of the time, and at that price, it's worth every penny... Two or three years ago, this would have been a 175-200$ board or maybe even more. Thank you MechTech Keyboards for reviewing this! there are not many people who have done videos about this board yet.

Crazy seeing aluminum boards with similar pricing to top-tier plastic boards from just 1-2 years ago (eg nuphy halo). With the uptick in such great options.. you mentioned a few, but I would love to see an updated video on your recommended prebuilt/barebone kits! Keyboard on!
Could not agree with you more. Got mine changed it out to Akko V3 Cream Blue Pro’s, did a tape mod, Re-lubed and tuned the stabs and WOW. This is what I expected the Monsgeek M7W to be but it falls short of this board. M7W on the shelf and this one has earned its place in my suitcase. Keep up the Great videos 🎉
I'm glad you mentioned the m7w, I have the m1w and really enjoy it but since I already have this sk71 and been wondering how it compares to the the m7w. Glad to hear I'm not really missing out.
**Update** Liked it so much decided to try taking it to the next level, changed to WS Morandi switches, did a tape mod with electrical tape, put the clear PE sheet switch sheet in and additional tuning to the stabs. This is also the only keyboard I have with stock keycaps, and they sound Excellent. Bam now my favorite 65% travel keyboard, and I have 10 of them. This has earned a permanent spot in my suitcase! Will they make it in an 1800 ?????
Just got the womier S-K71 in and it is impressive. Now I want to mod my XVX M87 to sound more like this. Silicone pour maybe? Will be a challenge to get the same sound out of that board. Love the content. Thanks

First :) Looks like there are a few interesting Aluminium boards coming out. Just seen the Sugar65 start to appear on Ali that looks like a GMK67 but Alu and FR4 plate. No details on if QMK/VIA or other means to program though. I really like the idea behind this but the layout on the nav cluster.... Think I would have preferred they took the normal TKL layout and rotated counter clockwise 90 or some variation on that. I spotted this on Ali and ignored the Womier board because that layout coupled with iffy software

I think you'll quite enjoy it. I have not had a chance to get back to this keyboard yet, but do use it in rotation. I'll move it up my list to mod as soon as I get done reviewing the great keyboard that have been coming out this year. Enjoy!

Bought the xinmeng m71 version of this for $52 (2900Php) This is my first alu board but im amazed how this is so good at stock i dont even want to open it and do any mods. Considering how i am always opening and tweaking my other plastic boards out of unsatisfaction. So yeah this is the best i have owned so far.
Good review! I got this as soon as they made it available in the US and when you did a quick type test near the beginning you're reaction was the same as mine. Frankly haven't felt an urgent need to mod it. But I can't wait to see what you do with yours. I do want to mention the BT on mine is really solid and connects in less than a 1 or 2 seconds and there's hardly any delay when it wakes up from sleep. I wonder if it's due to being less than 4 feet from my laptop? And the 2.4 works even better.

(****he types with palpable frustration using the old half broken membrane Best Buy Essentials keyboard that lacks working z,x,c,v keys and so instead employs a janky workaround remapping the 4 right modifier keys to those letters, which is slowly polluting his muscle memory while he impatiently waits for his overnight delivery of the Womier S-K71 to replace his Keychron paperweight.****)

There is no software for Mac OS that I am aware of, sorry. Besides QMK/VIA keyboards, there are only a handful of companies that provide Mac software for their keyboards.
I tried remapping (not sure if it's the correct term) some keys with their software on a friend's PC but didn't work when I use the keyboard back on my Mac. seems like this is the end. anyway, thanks for your reply! @@MechKeyboards

Does anyone know what size screwdriver is required to disassemble the keyboard? I just picked one up and have never owned a mechanical keyboard before.
Great review, as always. How weird is it that they essentially copy pasted the Monsgeek keyboards' side profile? And that kind of thing is all too common. It's like the chinese have no qualms when it comes to stealing someone else's idea. Regardless of that, this one has insane value. I didn't personally like the socket for the dongle, it takes away from the aesthetics, which is kind of the main draw for getting a full Alu keeb instead of a plastic one. And I think keyboard channels should start adding into the consideration the shipping price. To me it matters a lot if I have to pay 50% more on top of the base price just to get it delivered to my country, but maybe it's a conversation for the future, when and if there's more in-stock competition.

The entire top row does not work, or just the number keys? Have you tried switching between windows and Mac mode? Have you tried checking the switches? If none of this works, please reach out to Womier for support.

I just snagged one of these for $65 to replace my Keychron C3 Pro which stopped working out of nowhere after a oouple months....
I hope you like it as much as I do! My V3 Max died six weeks in. Keychron has gone downhill hard.

had this keyboard for about a month now, really love using it but I can't find the software for MacOS anywhere. any help?
There is no software for Mac OS that I am aware of, sorry. Besides QMK/VIA keyboards, there are only a handful of companies that provide Mac software for their keyboards.

How is it's PCB's quality? is it cheap or will be good for couple of years?
From what I have seen, it appears to be a quality PCB, but I won't really know until I can open it and inspect more closely, which I plan to do soon.

how you fix to use the numbers on top wont work.
Try double clicking your function key.
