I forgot to film how I wash short ribs :) I soaked short ribs into water with a can of club soda, coke is fine too for about 1-2 hours. After that, wash short ribs with water. This helps to get rid of excess blood and make the meat tender.
Hope you enjoy my video today. Thank you for spending time with me. It's still really cold outside now. You have a great week ahead and see you all next time. Take care!
Thank you for showing how to open a tough lid. I have several of the rubber jar grips, but sometimes they just don’t get the job done. I usually wind up banging the edge of the lid on the counter and worry about damaging the countertop. Won’t have to do that again! Oh, and as a former Northern MN resident, I can relate to the weather and desire to stay indoors. Brr!
How did you learn to cook? You are teaching this 74 year old woman lots! Thank you! Wish I could shop & cook with you!❤
Thank you very much for your comment, Karen! I'm glad that you enjoy my videos. I'm Vietnamese, so I know how to cook Vietnamese food. I learn Chinese cooking from my mother-in-law who is Chinese:) I love cooking and I learn a lot from the Internet too and test the recipes by myself. Take care🥰
I'm going to try the bean sprout salad like everything that went into it thanks 👍
Hi Lily,it‘s really cold where you live, but with the snow it always looks peaceful. It‘s around zero degrees here with sleet, slippery conditions and a lot of wind. A real german „ Mistwetter“. 🙋♀️❄️🌨️
Hi Anke, hope you are doing well. I get used to the cold, but zero degrees is nice 😄
Brrrrrrrrrr 😊it sure is cold there!! Loved the video!! Stay warm ✨️ 😊
Thank you for your comment. Hope you have a nice week! Take care 🥰
Wow Lily that is far too cold🥶🥶🥶 the coldest I experienced was -15 in Belgium once. Where I live in the UK it rarely goes below zero. Your food always looks so good, hope you keep warm and safe🥰
Thank you very much, Miranda! I know it's way too cold for me too. I used to live in a hot and humid place. Hope you are doing well too. Take care!🥰
What are the long green leaves you used in the hotpot?
Your cooking looks so yummy thank you for sharing ❤
Hi there, I think you mean sher li hon. It's called Sher li hon.
Please stay warm! I live in Alberta too and it also hit -40 at night 🥺 had some homemade bun Bo hue today too to warm up my body from the cold 😭 I know Costco sells turtle chips ( only the chocolate flavour though) if you ever wanted to try that!
I had Pho today :) thanks for letting me know about turtle chips. I will check it out next time. I don't usually go to Costco, but they have some good things that we like. Stay warm and take care!
Thanks for cooking.
Thanks, Judy! Hope you have a nice week. See you.
I can't say I miss the weather in Alberta but I need to how to made hot pots 😂 I'm in Nova Scotia
I don't think I miss this kind of weather too 😂 I remember I was so excited to experience the first snow (Ho Chi Minh city where I used to live has no snow and is warm the whole year), but now it's too cold :)
What is that you are sprinkling on your lettuce
It's Japanese sesame salad dressing that I bought from T&T.
when she washes it. I think it’s sea salt but not sure
