The problem I see with these competitions is that mostly the best images are provided by people that already have good gear to create high quality images. So for all who need good gear to improve on their images usually don't have that much chances. I did not check all the details of the competition rules, but I would expect that chances are low without good equipment. But let's see.

Hey Nick! HELP! I updated the firmware on my ASIAIR Pro and now it won’t connect to my AVX. Worked fine before. Nothing has changed except the firmware? What should I do?

    really enjoy your videos mate!
yup I'll try M45 ... actually the funny thing is that this is the target that got me to go for a full blown APO ... i thought that if I use a minus violet filter I'd be able to get by with my achromatic scope... eh ... no ... all the stars were blown and puffy with hardly any nebulosity in the pic ... pretty horrific.
I'll get the good ol' 600d and go for it weather permitting.
no view to the north... heart and soul is out of sight till I get another rig to the other side of my block ( top floor) ... it'll probably be a Virtuoso GTi flavour of 150/750 budget permitting... so next year maybe :)
JW does give some nice space porn ... =D

Thanks Alex! What scope do you have now?

@@AstroExploring three scopes... 115/800 APO in TS flavour (Europe here), an achromatic scope 80/400 and the infamous 135 F2 Samyang/Rokinon.... which I regard in utmost respect as a scope ... not a lens since it's awesome =)
on another level is the university loan C11 yet to come for NEO research... unfortunately I would love a Hyperstar for it which will doom all my budget for a year or two unless I qualify for some grant to loan a monochrome cam with all the parafinelia for it
the limiting factor is as always... wishing for something greater than the immediate achiable thing... kinda though in a Bortle 8-9 ... sqm 17.85
yup ... I can't afford the best narrow band filters and it looks like I tweaked the hell out of my Celestron AS-GT mount to track at 0.25 to 0.48 ... depending on where it's pointing to ...

Great video, but you said the new size and weight of the new ASI air the wrong way round, you got the 21% and 42% the wrong way round….or the images on the screen was wrong, not sure which….👍🏻
