I like how you give the fish lots of space instead of just ‘storing’ them in a glass bowl for decoration like many other cruel people do. People act like fish and many other small animals as if they don’t matter and aren’t even alive, and fish are a perfect example. They should have space as big as the ocean just like they do in the wild. It’s a shame how people treat these beautiful creatures so poorly and I admire you for being kind.
Fresh water fish don't live in the Ocean but in ponds or rivers and fancy goldfish could never live in the wild . Thy'd be like a pug in the wild with wolves ....
goldfish are basically only in captivity. they are very selectively bred, like how dogs were from wolves. any goldfish in the wild were put there by humans, and they shouldn't be in the wild. they grow huge and can ruin lakes
I suggest drowning pellets than floating pellets The floating pellets can have the goldfish to cause sbd (small bladder disease) i'm sorry for my grammar if it's wrong
VEry true . Instead of sinking pellets I use regular ones . However I swing them around in a cup of tank water first then dump then in so they don’t sink directly to bottom and the fish can grab them mid tank . I find you get a lot of left over food in substrate when you use straight sinking .
@Pacino That's a great idea. I will try to apply it soon. This is my first time raising goldfish, so I just found out about this swim bladder disease. Thank you all for the advice, I really appreciate it !!
Floating pellets is fine, as long as you don't overfeeding your fish. I have feeding my fish with floating pellets for about 4 month now. 4 times a day. And nothing bad happened. Sinking pellets tend to get sucked and clogged into the filter intake, especially if you are using the submersible filter pump. Just feed your fish with vegetables (broccoli, green peas, etc) once a week to prevent swim bladder disease
I own two comets...could you please give me tips on how to take care of them? I experienced fish eggs and hatchlings for the first time. There were 19 that survived, but about 7 died since last night. I feed them egg yolk and crushed flakes, trying to get my hands on baby brine shrimp where I live. I really want the little ones to grow healthy and strong.
You should have started with only one if you are a beginner because to take care of 3 oranda's pretty hard I have one ranchu and you would not believe how much he has grown
I thought this tank was small but when I saw your hand next to it, I was wrong, that tank was huge!!! 😳 plenty of room for your cute little water puppies :)
I think that's an initial reaction for a social fish when they we're kept alone in their own tank then one day you introduced them a new fish they take time to adapt to their new tank mate same as an aggressive fish for example a betta fish which loves to be alone but when attempted to move it with new fishes it will have a different reaction to his tank mates.
YOU did everything perfect. Litteraly so much people miss the step quarintine. Props to you for doing this! My group of goldies died just because I didn't quarintine
Orange just is not a very pigmented/ dominant color, so most orange is likely to either turn black, or turn white. Large spots of orange stay. Alot of small spots do change as they grow.
Some info for anyone thinking of getting goldfish: First, you should not ever have one, goldfish need others the minute you get them. Second, that tank is way too small for any goldfish. The requirement is 20 gallons upwards for them. Third, they need live plants and natural features to explore, hide in and feel safe. Just like any other fish does. They can live up to 10-15 years if cared for properly. They should never be dying after only a few years. Always remember to research any fish or creature you want to get before purchasing.
Isn’t it 20 gallons for the first fish and 10 gallons after for the next goldfish. 20 x 20 = 40 and they said the second tank has 43 gallons :/ if you meant the second one
@@DE-cj9pt uumm your ao stupid so when the goldfish grow up he will have to give the people 20-30 tank and will need to give all the important fish stuff so if he does he will wast so much money
You should soak that Pellets in water before! So they immediately sink to the bottom. That way your goldfish won't swallow so much air feeding from the surface which can cause them problems.
People already Said this but indeed floating pellets are bad, you don't necessairy have to buy new ones but you can lay them in water before you give them to your goldies :)

Lots of space? Wtf
@Queen Mantis yeah ur right. But this space is fcking little
This is better than a fishbowl but I personally wouldn't keep large goldfish in something smaller than a 70 gallon.
Maybe its cause im into saltwater but that doesnt look like lots of space to me lol
I'm wondering how goldfish stayed alive in the wild.. they're just so derpy..

@@playingportal2 Oh thank you!
These goldfish are more human bred but the common ones arent that slow swimmers
Wild goldfish are not derpy they are like koi and common goldfish (they are a type of carp)
same ;-;
I'm so happy for him

Your grammar is good! I can understand you perfectly. I do think you mean "sinking" pellets not "drowning" ones. :)
It is very good in fact but i see that you miss (.) in your text.

I hope browny a female. Then they would hv cute kids
This would be so wrong as they are not the same kind of goldfish. Most of the frys will just be culls
Each goldfish needs 20 gallons and a female can have 1000 so he will not wast so much money on the tanks
@@alexandpets59 wdym female can have 1000?
