I tried pepermint bark a few weeks ago. It is Sooooo good. But I learned different brands taste different. Now I am About to buy the Ingredients and make my own. Great video.
@@inthekitchenwithmatt Yesssss.... So Agree. You got me hype. I don't like White Chocolate. I am Going to use Confections Chips instead. Thanks again for such a Easy video. I Subscribed also. 💙 Happy New Year!
I grow peppermint and "hierbabuena" in my garden :) Translator says it's the same but hierbabuena is a bit bigger but same flavour. Needs more wet or humid condition. Snails loves it :(
Woww looks yummylicious your video of Crips Bark Matt..ingridients are cheap and easy to follow i like to try this on our table for the coming Christmas..Thanks for sharing video Matt..stay safe and healthy all day
Hello! No as long as you chill the bottom layer of dark chocolate. Once you pour the white chocolate over it, the white cools quickly. Just follow exactly what I did in the video. ;)
Store in an airtight container or ziplock bag on the counter for up to 2 weeks, unless it is warm in your house, then store in the fridge. Or freeze for a few months.
Why does the chocolate get lumpy when you add the peppermint? Especially the white chocolate. I did exactly what you did. It still worked and tasted great I just wondered why mine clumped up and yours did not.
I did something wrong when I made mine, but I'm not sure what. The same thing happened to me last year and several batches I made. The dark chocolate turns out fine, but when I melt the white chocolate, when I think that it is almost melted, all of a sudden it gets hard and dried up and never melts smooth. What could be causing this? I wasted one whole bag of white Ghiradelli chips and the second bag I managed to salvage, but part of it still turned out like this and I just spread some of the clumps on the dark chocolate any way.
Are you using a microwave? If so, it sounds like you used too high of heat and left it in too long. You may want to try the double boiler method instead to melt the white chocolate.
Fun with my baby boy before Christmas ❤ thank you for the help!

Thanks so much Again for the
Great how to video.
Glad they turned out great!! You are welcome and thanks!!
if I use melting wafers, should the bottom layer still be hard before the white goes on? Or will that make the white/chocolate separate?
Hi Judy, yes allow the bottom layer to set before putting the top layer on. The white chocolate will stick to it. :)
Does the white chocolate need to be cooled off before spreading over the dark chocolate -- any chance of white melting the dark?
Hello! No as long as you chill the bottom layer of dark chocolate. Once you pour the white chocolate over it, the white cools quickly. Just follow exactly what I did in the video. ;)
How would you store this please and for how long? Thank you

Might be the type of chocolate you used. Possibly used a bit too much extract as well.
@@inthekitchenwithmatt I’ll try less extract next time. Thanks for your response :)

Thanks!
I forgot to buy the extract ... will it be no good without 😩
It will still taste okay, just won't have the pronounced peppermint/mint flavor.
👍👏
Thanks!
It must be me or the brand, but I use 1.5 teaspoons of extract...
Whenever a recipe calls for extract you can always add a little more or a little less according to your taste.
@@inthekitchenwithmatt My bad.. was thinking of the condensed milk/chips fudge version. Used 1/2 teaspoon for chips alone.
@@Angel-nu7fm :) no worries!!
I thought once you put it in the fridge it has to stay in the fridge
It may depending on how warm your house is. Otherwise once the chocolate sets it can be left out at room temperature.
