For Joe, Chris, and their viewers. The paradox can be understood and resolved by reading Robert Fritz "the path of least resistance." The phenomenon they discuss is oscillation, and Fritz explains the solution and how society got there decades ago.
Chris and Joe, your podcasts draw me in, and each time I listen/watch, I'm curious to see where each discussion will lead. There's something to be learned or to be reminded of, to help process questions and other unsettled things in my mind. I nod and smile a lot as concepts are said aloud at just the right moment for me to hear them in my life, or consider new ideas, and to be open to other people's perspectives. Thank you!

Instead of shaming the feeling of jealousy when it comes up, we can recognize it as a signal that there is something in the other party or about the other party that we admire and that we may also want to have. What about being jealous of another persons looks, which is their genetic material that can never be acquire or “worked on”. Like he said jealousy is a nasty thing. At least that’s what I think as someone who’s struggled with it quite a bit,

I think there is a desperate need for this type of content, especially to reach men that are struggling. For me personally, I think Dr. K has a lot of good content in this vein that also comes from the perspective of a clinical psychiatrist. He has helped me out significantly, but we still need many more voices. The problem is that men are often ridiculed for generally having a hard time, and any difficulty in general is met with shame instead of and form of practical support.

And it makes sense, if at the base of all our genetics was not the ability to change to adapt to the environment we would be extinct. It is not that we are more than our genetics and that is why we can change, it is that genetically we are made to adapt according to the circumstances, that is why we are such a successful species.
