Here is a tip for you and the viewers. When you have a Allen head type fastener like on your real master cylinder that is wanting to round out. Try putting some valve lapping compound in the socket head. It’s a gritty compound and will greatly reduce the chance of rounding out the fasteners. Works well on Phillips head screws and even on sockets and wrenches. The abrasive in the compound greatly reduces the chance of the tool from rounding out or stripping out of the fastener. If you put enough on it you will actually have to tap a Allen key into a set screw or socket head screw. Give it a try..... Glad all is well. God be the Glory.

I can't wait to see more absolutely over obsessively compulsive restorations
For real though, its awesome, I took a bit of your effort and put it into my old bikes, ended up buying 2 road bikes 70's and 80's to do up because of you :)
First one was torn apart entirely and put back together, good old honda parallel v-twin pushrod, my daily rider
Second one is the same bike but a few years older, they fixed literally all of the niggling issues on it, currently torn apart and rusting a little outside :')

@Cameron Niemela, you still have a "3rd" (the original and first) Suzuki RM250 broken down in your shed correct? I wanted to trade you my 1987 Honda CR250 project for it, but now I am too far along on my 1987 Honda CR250 project, but you can feel free to contact me and get my shipping address to ship me that original RM250 project that is in your shed...Good to see you back and I am looking forward to this project being completed. It is really kind of you to be giving this project away to your community. Salute and blessings upon blessings.

Man I'd love to win that RM not to give you a sob story or anything but just had my 98 KX250 engine rebuilt at a shop cost me $1,000 told me he couldn't find a piston cuz it was oversized so he said he would massage my old one and put new rings and all new gaskets and bearings after two rides I blew the head gasket took the head off and it was my old gasket reused with silver spray paint got to looking around nothing in it was new I had given him a part engine also just if anything was broken in my motor he could use the parts out of the other one I think he just took the best parts from both Motors and made it run not a single new part in my bike man even reuse the old gaskets I wish I had the money to send it to you to rebuild it or a reputable shop LOL lesson learned though from your videos and tips and my service manual going to rebuild it over the winter myself really man thanks for all the great content I've learned a lot watching your stuff God bless HE

Nothing like coming in from the garage working on your bike for 3 hours (adding fan and radiator overflow reservoir to take my track bike on trails tomorrow) and watching a little dirt bike UA-cam before I hit the hay. Thanks for the tip on the master cylinder. Now I know why the one on my 05 crf450r stripped out so easy. Btw, my easy fix was to take a small Dremel bit and just make it a flat head. I was going to replace it and then just realized that it works just fine.

Helpful tip for stripped out bolt heads. Cut a small piece of thin rubber (bicycle inner tube works great) and set on top of stripped out head then push down on your hex bit or Phillips bit and pull the trigger. Have not tried it on really big fasteners but it has yet to fail me on anything smaller such as the master cylinder ones you spoke about. Try it....works great.

Hey Cameron, love the stuff you doing. Technical content, entertaiment and video production is on point. Actually learning from your flawless instructions it encuraged me to rebuild my 08 RM125 engine myself. On the swingam blot, I found it also sized up quite firm. What I ended up was, run through a long M8 threaded rod the inner bore of the swing blot and big washers on the frame clutch side to pull it out with a nut. I recommed stainless steel for the M8 threaded rod, threads on regular steel are too weak and can get eaten up. Glad to see that you allowed yourself to have a break. Greetings from Germany! 🙌🤙
