Don't unhook the front of your boat until your in the water part of the way. Because some ramps are steep and I have seen a boat roll right off the trailer onto the concrete
Lol... Might want a refresher course on boater safety. You have to manually install your nav lights, which should be in one of your compartments. The green/red in front, the white on the back. The white nav light is typically on a longer pole. Anytime the big motor is on, you need your life vests on. If Marine patrol had caught you out without your PFD and no nav lights, whoa boy. There's three ports at the bottom back of your boat. Livewell intake, plug, and bilge. Always prep your boat before you are actually on the ramp to drop it in. Boater courtesy. Did you have your killswitch attached to you in case you hit a rogue wave that could've flung you out of your boat. All these take time, I still sometimes forget the Killswitch, but I never forget my PFD.

My favorite part of this video was how pure it was. Reminded me of the first time I took my old man's boat out by myself. LOJO could have easily edited out some of the struggles or practiced launching a ton of times but he did not and let us experience his journey of becoming a new boat owner with him.

LOJO the greatest tip I have ever learned when backing your boat into the water is to put the vehicle in neutral, allow the weight of the boat guide you into the water. So much less correcting and straighter backing.

Got my first bass boat 2 years ago and I love how excited you are. I remember being the exact same way. Now it is such a hassle to put in/out by myself. Part of working when everyone else is sleeping and fishing when everyone else is at work.
You did good for your first time. I use my uncles bass boat and his is an aluminum boat as well. If you're having trouble getting the boat on the trailer just ram it on where you think it's best and if you don't get it at first don't back off. Trim the motor up quite a bit and wiggle back and forth until you slip into the correct spot. Also with grass don't try and mow through it. Been there done that and spun a prop. Just take it nice and slow at first but try stuff. You will fail and possibly break stuff but that's how you learn. Also depending on how your boat is I'd HIGHLY suggest getting spare plugs put in the boat. Learned that the hard way after almost sinking mine.
Love the boat Lojo! Maybe in the future, you can put Seadek on your deck to help prevent slipping and keeping the heat off your feet. You can get your whole boat customized with it, too. Keep up the great content bro! 🤙🏼
If you get some garage floor seal and roll it on your boat deck and put some textured flake in it it will help with it being super slick and still easy clean out
small tip when reversing a trailer/boat.. hold the bottom of the stearing wheel and the boat/ trailer will turn the direction you turn the wheel
Steer the bottom on the steering wheel LOJO! Best advised I've received when learning to back up a trailer or boat.
You had your map, Sonar and Downscan on the screen at 9:40, when you start hitting wakes or something trim all the way down and you'll cut through them easier. Also a habit I got into is when I cut the motor off to start trolling and fishing, I trim the motor up so there's less risk of it dragging if we get too shallow.
Lojo! They make a foam padding that you can put down instead of carpet. Soft on the feet, grippy, and still easy to wash down!
Lojo always look behind you while your running in your boat. Seems like that is one thing a lot of people do not do! And don't ever forget your plug lol

Make sure you get your nav lights! For running back in the dark. it’s hard to see other boats especially if your in a rush.
And he is that guy who gets his boat ready on the ramp! Need to learn boat ramp etiquette!!
Just don't forget about the hydrilla on that lake, I have fished it many times, my first experience on that lake was not good, but it was a good learning lesson, congrats on the new boat!!!

L.F.Gs Skeeter is right up there in top end gear. FYI, aluminum is a great conductor of electricity, be careful with the weather.
Lojo do all the unhooking and everything before the ramp so all you have to do is get in the lane and back in also make sure to roll down your windows while backing in
Lojo, always prep your boat in the parking lot, prepping on the ramp is a good way to make people mad.
LOJO i would highly recommend putting sea deck or gator skins on the deck of the boat for more grip and they are super easy to clean
Put some foam Seadek or the like on that top. Easy to keep clean, and will help with traction.
Pro Tip...bring someone with boat experience on your maiden boat trip. lol Nice ride!
You should consider putting sea deck on the. Oat. It will be soft and easy to walk on but it will be non slip.
I recommend outing seadek on the boat it’s easy to clean and you won’t have to worry about slipping ok the deck
LOJO I would recommend you getting a chopper attachment for your trolling motor it chops weeds and Lilly pads so you don’t have to pick it off with your hands it’a faster while fishing so you can keep the content rolling!!

They would have been told to leave any of the boat ramps around me. If you don’t know what you are doing at the ramp, you are too much risk for sinking the boat and polluting the lake. They would have taken their pics and put them on the wall of shame at all the boat ramps around me.

A tip you can do for the slippery ness is get bath strips. They are like what you put in a bathroom shower for no slipping
In the future so you tie up the ramp, take off the tie downs before you actually back the boat down. I noticed that there wasn't anybody Elsa waiting but it's a good practice to get in.

you should throw some gator skins on the deck. they are super easy to install and clean and, will keep you from slipping around.
lake fishin is night and day from pond/creek fishing. hopefully you get them electronics dialed in and start catchin some fish soon!

Put guide polls on your trailer. You will never have a problem getting the boat back on the trailer.
Just giving you a tip for the boat, there’s the motor in the back called an outboard your supposed to lower it all the way into the water till it stops and makes a different noise thanks. From jayden

I take it that the dealership did not provide you with an operational walk through of the boat. That is a shame if they did not, especially to a first time boat owner. They should start from the bow and go to the stern and show you how everything works, to include where the bow and stern lights are stored and how to use them along with a sheet of paper on how to properly break in the outboard.

Once you get the boat on plane start trimming up until you find the boats happy spot. It will help prevent the boat from jumping.
