The relationship between force and distance is not an exponential, but an equilateral hyperbola (F=k/d).
The force (F) that you need to apply is inversely proportional to the distance (d) from the fulcrum of the lever.
You’re the second person to point this out. Nice
I made one in my backyard after I saw your tiktok 😊
The gains are already HUGE 💪
only been 2 weeks and I'm already adding weight to it now 😅
That is awesome! I’m glad to hear it!
Swweeeeeeet!!!!! your content is so informative and helpful
Glad you think so!
Whats next? - put bands and chains on it. LOL
Unfortunately the moment equations is M =F*D where F is force in N and D is distance in meters, meaning the relation is linear, you need to plot the data from 0 to extrapolate causation and not correlation
M = F*D is not a linear equation. Since the two variables we are interested in varying are F and D, we can see that for any distance D to achieve M moment we need force M/D, meaning the relationship is hyperbolic.
Point loads (the plate) are linear, distributed loads (the beam) is exponential.
Idea: build it as a frame for full ROM
Two 6x6 posts connected into a rectangle, and the lifter stands in the middle. You can two use handles or install grab bars in the middle. A weight peg can go at the end, and you don’t have the awkward between-the-legs situation forcing a wide stance.
Or stick blocks under your feet
You kinda sound like Scott cramer
Ok cool
WOAH WOAH WOAH, FREEZE FRAME ON THE INCLINE BUM PRESS
Can we get a copy of the spreadsheet?
Shoot me an email and I’ll send it to you. Kyle@kaizendiygym.com
I'll need to build one that will not be destroyed by Canadian winter... Did you applied any coating or protection on your wood?
No, I bought treated wood but you could also add a sealant or paint
That is not correct. What is exponential is the load of the beam and the weight of the plate is linear. You are mixing both. Make a measurement of the empty beam. Remove that from your other measurements and you will get a linear load.
You're wrong. Sketchy home gyms are the safest because the equipment will break instead of your face.
Ok cool
The relationship: t=r•f•sin(θ)
I was not aware of that
