Collection of psychedelic / freakbeat vocal and instrumental tracks issued by the music library label. Three of them, 'Who's Gonna Buy', 'I Am Your Man' and 'Unpack Your Bags' were featured in the film "Haunted House Of Horror". All De Wolf recordings comprised material penned by song writers Peter Renno and Johnny Hawksworth and played by session musicians."
"This is something known as a sound library recording. These were mostly a British phenomenon, where a recording studio would record a hired band to record songs for a collection, which was then pressed on to vinyl in extremely limited quantities, and intended for license to video producers to use as sound track and/or incidental music for TV and movies. The libraries usually had many different styles on hand, and included a few psychedelic and underground rock titles. These are almost all hideously rare nowadays, and are known to most collectors only through the books that they read about their hobby, and the occasional benevolent collector who allows his copy to be bootlegged. The artists that recorded these albums were usually assigned an arbitrary name of the producer's choosing - their real identities purposefully masked, and sometimes with the band's consent as well. So imagine my surprise to find this gem sitting in a seller's list just waiting to be plucked. I never expected to own a copy, and am delighted the price was reasonable. Heaven knows who these guys really were, but i must admit they sure have elements of late 60's era Deep Purple. Style-wise, this is solid, British flavored psych/hard rock with some prog elements mostly via use of Hammond organ. The guitar also uses fuzz/wah to good effect here and there as well. They include some blues material in their repertoire too. Side A is all vocal tracks, while side B is instrumental, with several of the tracks from side A repeated, minus the vocals. I didn't hear a weak track in the bunch, and most are good ~ great. Well worth investigating if the genre is your thing."

What We Do In the Shadows brought me here.
Was harder to find than expected!
Another absolute gem of an album, as per your usual! Keep 'em comin'! I'll keep appreciating 'em!
Thank you Jackie Daytona
How many gems are still hidden from us and much more are to be discovered.
Heureusement TBDIH est là !
Don't worry! thebestdream I had has us covered. All will be revealed.
The track "Who's Gonna Buy?" was certainly used in some British film and TV, usually in its instrumental version. it's a superb track with and without vocals and the album is fine psychedelic rock - great to have it here!

On first look, I thought this was by 'THE LEMON PIPERS', then why would it be with ''LED ZEPPELINS" Debut Album I wondered. I took a listen to the 'LEMON DROPS' and it was good. The Band's name STILL Belies their sound. I thought I was going to hear something like 'Green Tambourine,' but NO. 'Green Tambourine' was a great song. Please, don't beat me up. Lot's of people from the 60's love that little song (old foggy's.) by the 'THE LEMON PIPERS.' I was young, and I loved that song too.
Hi TheBestDream, I'm proud of you, you release some totally unknown albums. In Spain in the 70s, very few things arrived, only the most classic. I see that there was a lot of musical activity, varied and rich, including Frank Zappa, who was musically ahead of all times. Thank you very much, you are giving us a lot and I thank you from my heart

This genre is my thing. Love garage rock. Psych rock. Underground garage bands. Studio musicians or session players are an interesting lot. This album being part of of a sound library is really far out. It's loaded with great psych sounds.
The coolest instrumentals.
An awesome rarity.
It sounds like there might be members of The Yardbirds playing.
The album cover kinda reminds me of Roger the Engineer too

Шикарно дуся.
Misread this as the Lemon Drops, wasn't disappointed.
👍😆
I would buy It... Amazing record !!!
Music De Wolfe was specialized in library music production. I suppose The Lemon Dips was a project in the vein of Electric Banana/Pretty Things
"both Studio Musicians & Touring Musicians
don't ever get any recognition because they
are hired for a specific recording session or
for a certain touring gig, some are regular members
of bands or a backup band for some singer,
this sounds kind of like the Door's with a
better sound however, the names of the musicians
may never be revealed because they never received
any attention by the recording industry and this was
evidently the only album that they put out,
and it wasn't on a major recording label,very good."-🌐🌎🌏🌍🌐..
Magickal Stooges style musickal experience 😈😈😈
Interesting story thanks.
Listening to "Traveling Man" makes me wonder what the Doors might have done with it. 🤔

Veeeeeery nice :-)
I had one of these by a famous British rock band recording under another name. Something about electric banana 🍌? Cool 😎

Thebestdream is back and brings us new old stuff. I follow your channel for a long time, and i would say Thank You for your work. This is another great upload--THANKX!!!!!!!
Worthy Stooges Rutles..
I never expected to hear vocals in a library recording. This is a first for me but then I'm not anywhere as familiar with Music de Wolfe as I am with KPM and Bruton (since plenty of recordings from said outfits have been posted on UA-cam).
The Pretty Things also did a handful of LPs for De Wolfe in the 1960s/70s as "Electric Banana".
@@maxmerry8470 Thanks for bringing that up, I nearly forgot about that.
