Weapon switch by 1-9 keys should be implemented after patch that was released few days ago. I dont really like random generator of items inside those big boxes, u can kinda exploit it by quicksave and load until u get medkit or anything u need. Other than that the game is awesome and for the prize the lenght is very generous.

At first, i was sure it was another Kvark review, aimed at looking for whatever redeeming features,
but was surprised to find out that this is something else entirely. And while anything not set in a
deep past or distant future - automatically gets a -50 points penalty for me, but when it starts veering
into the horror territory - it has a chance to reclaim those points back. It was a very cool move for it to
go into Dead Space/Doom3 kind of stylistics, and i hope the game can keep it up. Definitely adding this
one to my future playing list! Great!

@@ZlimBratSki Thanks Zlim! In my experience, i have seen a really bad AI only twice. (i stay away from
bad games as a rule) Once it was in "Apocryph" and the other was some other obscure FPS that i fished
out of your comment section on some game i don't even remember, a long while ago. But in both cases,
everything else in those games was equally as bad as the AI. Or maybe even worse. As far as i am concerned,
enemies don't have to rival the OG Skaarj or the Werejaguars. Being on par with Quake/Quake2 monsters - is
good enough by me.
This game definitely goes to my library next. Been longing for a good shooter in htis manner for some time.

Been playing this over the last few days and its a fun gory blast haha. Love the clear half life references but its its own thing for the most part. Combat gets very predictable but its a fun "turn your brain off for few hours" game hehe.
Aye yeah it for sure is it's own thing :D I just love how it throws it's half life inspiration on your face over and over. A very good plug your brain off game and just enjoy!

if this is made by one person than it is a good game and got atmosphere , I like feeling the punch of exploding barrels like in the Doom 2016 also on normal you can easily die if you don't watch out

I had a chance to play it, and i can tell that it falls really short of EVERYTHING, on every front. Lulled into
a non-existing gaming reverie by every reviewer out there shouting: "Half-Life! Half-Life!! HALF-LIFE!!!"
and a zlim presentation from our venerable Zlim himself - in-game i was surprisingly (or unsurprisingly?!)
greeted with the exact opposite of what everyone and everything this side of virtual reality was claiming
this to be. As the age-old wisdom teaches: when something seems too good to be true - IT IS!!!
So what is this "mysterious" Vladik Brutal in reality? It's no Half-Life, it's not even a Half-Life clone. Yes, it rips
off scenes from Half-Life and makes all kinds of allusions to it, but it plays nothing like it. What does it play like?
Exactly like what it is: A barely mediocre, slow, plodding zombie-shooter. The kind where you can only sprint
forward, because movement in any other direction is as sluggish as running through a swamp mire. Close
combat is non-existent: it just wasn't designed in the game at all, and the icing on the cake: the swag Russian
gangster mowing down apocalyptic bio-horrors while chucking one-liners and empty mags - is not there either.
He is kinda implied for a few seconds, and then poof - and he's gone. So no flavor or "soul" to the game to boot.
Whenever you are not fighting generic zombies, - you are fighting much more boring enemies than that, plunging
the title further and further into the depths of mediocrity, which the equally sub-par gunplay only exacerbates.
It's a mediocre game, at best, and there is no way this deserves more than 10 bucks. I would even go as
far as just five. Better yet - spend the ten on ice-cream (or whatever) and play any decent zombie shooter that
you have in your collection instead, - if you are into this genre. Hey, some of those already became abandonware
(like The Road to Fiddler's Green) and they still play 10 times better! Because back then, when these were designed,
the rule was: GAMEPLAY FIRST(!!!) and not just graphics. The old Zlim would've seen this a mile away.
i've played it a bit myself and i want to like it but somehow it hasn't really clicked for me yet!
I think it's the streams your missing knack, we need some knack energy in the streams and in return you get the vladik energy :D

I bought it, beat it, and overall enjoyed it but it definitely has some big flaws for anyone on the fence out there. The monster sections are great. Creepy, atmospheric, and the monsters are fun to fight. But most of the time you are fighting humans with guns and they are nowhere near as fun to fight.
But don't forget it's a mere $10 game. We can't expect too much from that. Yet it over delivers what anyone has any right to expect imo 😁

I beg to differ. 10 bucks has nothing to do with that. Quake Combat is free. Arcane Dimension is free. Ashes trilogy is free. Blood: Deathwish is free. And many other great games/mods are. Quality control and proper design have nothing
to do with price.

The game has its own features and advantages. For example, shooting in the game is fun, the shooting is not perfect, but not bad, considering that the developer did almost everything alone. But But if I evaluate the game as a whole, I didn't like it because of the trash elements and various kinds of frivolous references and trash Easter eggs specifically to the peculiarities of Russian culture. Some of these Easter eggs will simply not be understood by non-Russian or non-Russian speaking audiences.
Jokes with references to games funny, but lacks more seriousness. The game does not position itself as something serious, of course, the developer said this and we can clearly see it in the game. The game in its unseriousness as an indie the project is not bad, but there is too much trash.
I can only imagine, I dont get those easter eggs unfortunately so cant make much comment on them :/
@@ZlimBratSki I could give you an example, but some of them won't explain anything to you. But for example, I can describe something related to the main character. The sweater, some moments of the dialogue - literally an allusion to the film "Brother" with Sergei Bordov.However, as I wrote earlier, this is a collection of different elements. The association with half life is too obvious and noticeable, but such a reference is very frivolous. I hope the developer's next game will be something more serious.

It's that Russian movie some people say GTA IV took some inspiration from.
@@joeo2533Yes, that's exactly the movie. I don't know if the developers were inspired by that movie. GTA4, I didn't notice anything in common, but it's possible. But in this game, there are literally references to this, even one of the trailers was to a famous soundtrack from the film.
