WS3 being -5 on block with decent pushback opens up movement and whiff baiting as well as power crush baiting gimmicks. And because CD44 drives them straight back and further away, any techrolls will uave much less of an angle compared to CD14 which throws them to Kaz's weak side, where they can again techroll into the weak side and sometimes make awkward oki angles. Df1,2 juggle ender at the wall also forces their options into slow floor options or having to immedietely stand with the back flop getup, limiting their options
I just try to add something to your question even if Solus is a way more better mishima player than me. This is how i got out of blue as a dvj player. You have to build the cleanest fondamentals gameplay with this character, for exemple check the first interaction Solus made against the feng player , after getting his frame he sidestep left then launch , you have to get an idea ( data is online for this ) on which side a character is weak to a side step or a side walk. You’ll noticed that people throw very linear moove ( specialy when it’ s plus frame moove). Also you need a complete throw game to force your opponent to duck more and respect your 50/50. B3 is great when you want to keep out your opponent but be carefull don’t be predictable. Set up at the wall with db 1+2 mixed with back 4 if the opponent try to stay at the ground will help you to pressure your opponent. Hope this help !

i will have to disagree when it comes to CD4,4 the standard hellsweep gives better oki even if you are off axis thats the reason why you use wavu realign to deal with that.

You are less advantageous after cd4,4 and are further away. If you want oki, use cd4,1. If you want space, use cd4,4.

Yeah cd4,1 has objectively better oki. Use cd4,4 if you want space.
Keisuke, who just made evo top 6 winners, likes CD4,4 a lot too he uses it a ton. He said he uses it bc of the second hit being safe iirc

@@bansheejack7567 had to go test it in game. The online framedata says -14 but thats the low, the second hit is -9 so completely safe.
