Loved Don Lane and Bert Newton Together on the Don Lane Show , they were a great team . I would not have believed a tall lanky yank would have fitted in with the Australian raw humor Aussies dish out .. Don Lane was marvelous in his understanding of it , his acceptance of it and in fact his love and appreciation of it . I still miss the Don lane show to this day . Thank you so much for this video.

Don & Bert were a formidable team & Don's show was unsurpassed & will never come again. How great these celebs were but sad that many have left us. Hopefully Don & Bert have met up again & are livening up the heavens. How will we carry on without them?
Thank goodness for some parts of the internet to allow us to either remember these things or to let a new generation see what entertainment used to be like before the onset of second video apps.

I used to have his picture hanging behind the curtain in my bedroom because I wasn’t allowed to have anything on the wall. And there’s Paul who has recently commented on Bert’s death, luv ya Paul. Come home! Have no idea who Fred Daley is. Love the Dias, everyone with a glass of water for each guest. Very un Australian.

I enjoyed the don lane show over the years , I wish there was something to equal it now. TV today is rubbish.

Fred Daly was a former MP and government minister in Australia from 1943 to 1975. He was also a very funny man.
Rip don lane what a great entertainer he was ( sadly his resting place is macquarie park cemetery north ryde )
Compare the calibre of comedic prowess then to the dross thats dished up on TV today and you can see how far we've fallen.

Compared to the roasts in the US of the same era, with the big stars there, Foster Brooks, Don Rickles etc. this is a 100% flop!
