Larry Bird and Robert Parish DOMINATE the Heat #miamiheat #bostonceltics #larrybird
Nice to see footage highlighting the Chief with Larry Legend!
Remember watching this amazing basketball live.
It’s crazy how Bird and Parish were able to dominate their opponents their entire careers in the regular season.
And the playoffs
Being traded to the Celtics was the best thing that could have happened to Robert
It's also funny that at this point Bird was basically disabled and wearing a back brace and Cheif is old too and yet here they are doing whatever they want to the "younger generation" in the 90's......I'm guessing the guys in the 90's weren't good athletes either 🤦! Great ball players from any era will/can adapt and be great no matter when
@@irishgrl Best thing that could have happened to pretty much anyone in those days.
there was no load management. These guys went for 82 games hard. Literally the last COUPLE games of those 82 the starters would play noticeably less. Parish would still be playing under load mgt at 67 lol
(2:11) GOAT
It was amazing how Larry Bird knew a backboard perfectly and how the ball bounced off the backboard and was automatically inserted into the rim.
Great highlights! Thanks for posting.
Great Stuff!
It's a passing clinic. Amazing. You dont see this in today's NBA.
You'd think Seikaly was the old player and not Parish in their match-ups.
It just doesn’t look right seeing Bird and Parish in baggy shorts. Lol. I’m guessing this was 91-92?
They retired before the longer shorts. Would've been weird to see larry with long shorts lol
@@alecvip7562 Look at the shorts they’re wearing in this video, and compare them to the shorts from just 3 or 4 years earlier. These are significantly longer, otherwise I wouldn’t have mentioned it. I’m an old dude (52) Who grew up in the short shorts era, so I know from first-hand memory.
By the early 90s, Jordan’s personal style preferences (longer shorts, shaved head) were starting to become the norm in the NBA.
Also, while Bird only played till 92, around the beginning of the long shorts era, Parish played until 97, WELL into the long shorts era, so no, they did not retire before the longer shorts.
I’m guessing you’re a lot younger than me, so to you, the shorts from 91-92 probably seem like short shorts, but they were way longer than the average shorts from probably as late as 89 or even 90.
@@jeremycrandall2899 oh fs, but larry did retire before they wore the goofy long shorts of the late 90s/early 2000s. I do know they used to wear shorter shorts tho lol
@@jeremycrandall2899 and yeah, I'm only 18 lol
@@alecvip7562 congrats to you for watching basketball history. We all learn from our experiences with our past. 😉
Christ, Parish was fast.
