I feel really wrong making any suggestion to the “Queen of Foundations,” but when I purchased the Face & Body, I watched multiple videos about how to properly apply it. You basically did, except they suggest rubbing the foundation in with fingers and into the skin in circles; rather than patting, to obtain more coverage. All the makeup artists I watched stated to apply with fingers and then quickly rub it in until it seems to start setting. To build coverage, you need to wait until it’s dry (it takes literally 10-15 seconds) and then apply an additional layer to the areas that need more coverage. When it’s applied in this manner, you can achieve a medium coverage +. I hope this is helpful. You look absolutely gorgeous and I love, love that you used all cream/liquid products. My 40 year old skin really appreciates it!
Joey H-Tinkous I’ve worn it about 15 times since filming this video and tried different techniques and personally on my skin I like one layer + patting :) but do whatever works for you! Someone else suggested warming it up between your hands until it emulsifies a bit and then applying though which I’ll try!
@@taylorwynn on my "more mature" skin, rubbing anything on to it would be a disaster (it's not advisable to "rub" your face, regardless of age). So it was great seeing you using a patting method. Much kinder and just as effective. 👍👍
Hands can be the best applicator! The warmth of the hands help the products melt into the skin. Less marks and smoother results. What I don't like is when the foundation or concealer get under the nails! Great video as always! Thanks! 💖💖💖
I love that you are so genuine and drama free. I found you years ago when looking for someone with as fair skin as me to try to find some good foundations for my acne and have stayed for your incredible spirit and content. You are a wonderful human being. Thank you for being a light in this crazy world.
I love Face and Body so much. This is my holy grail foundation because 1) I don't like a lot of coverage 2) I'm over 40 and it never settles or makes me look dry and 3) it just always looks beautiful. ♥️
Believe that I've been massaging my neck upward for the past 30 years. At 63, I think it did good for my neck 😉 Love this video, always used my fingers before. Using sponges and brushes only for the last 5 years !
Same for me with the moisturiser on my neck! So many people forget it! (I'm 50). I used to always use my fingers to apply makeup too. It's really fast, and you use way less product 💖
Pearl necklace .... WHAT!!!! I love cream/liquid face products and the finished look you achieved is so fresh and pretty. I also think it's incredibly youthful. 💗💗
Request: please do a video using only concealer under the eyes (for those who have to work with masks on all day) I’m so sad I can’t wear makeup anymore while wearing it! 😩
Same! I have not had foundation stay on my nose all day since March. 😭 I've tried so many primers and primer combos and foundation combos. I've basically given up. But I'm not not going to wear a mask!
Oooh I'd love that n just a mask😷friendly tutorial. My state went back to mandatory mask wearing anywhere (which I was doing anyway btw I'm in NV). It's 107 tomorrow so I can't wear bottom makeup it seriously melts off my face lol😰😎 Also anyone else getting mask-ne. Ugh💜✌🏼️
Me too, I just conceal my bags and darkness. No lipstick or foundation :( my skin is taking a beating too. Oh now that its June Im also sweating into my mask. Oh well. Great idea though
Please do a video showing you shopping online (how you choose a product, what to search for, etc) and then what it looks like when it arrives!! I have sooo much trouble choosing shades and figuring out what to buy based on the websites’ descriptions!! Thank you!! Great video! Gonna try my old cream contour out again tomorrow!!
I love Mac Face & Body!!! The best way to use it for a more coverage is to Pat it on without fully blending it out...let it set for about a minute then start blending it in by pressing it in. It’s awesome applied that way.
Taylor, love your content, your calm demeanor, and your ability to laugh at yourself. You are a gem!! Anyone else binge-watching Taylor Wynn right now?
I LOVE that face and body is getting some love from you!!! It has been my FAVORITE foundation by far for the last 3 years. I have super dry skin and this just looks bomb on me. There is a learning curve to application but once you get it down...the best 🙌🏻
I don’t know how I missed this video! I have the Mac foundation but was having trouble applying and now I know why! Thank you so much for showing exactly how applications are done! Thanks 😊
I started using Mac Face and Body in the springtime and I absolutely love it! I’m over 40 and it makes me look youthful. I mix it with the Drunk Elephant Bronzi drops and it makes you look like you went on a trip. Or I use L’Oréal Lumi Glotion with it. 😊 love your foundation reviews! 💕
I love all the products you mentioned! but unfortunately they aren’t cruelty free. I was just wondering if there’s any cruelty free dupes to these if anyone could leave it in the thread below for me lol
@@Em22214 essence has a similar foundation like the MAC face & body, and they also have a very pretty glowy primer, they are cruelty free and quite inexpensive.

I turn 51 soon and I've always used my hands to apply my foundation (when I first started wearing makeup, that's all anyone used really). I've tried sponges and brushes, but always go back to my fingers. Just works better for me.
I love a lot of products from Yes Style. I use the hada Labo lotion in Moist as my after 2nd cleansing 1st moisturizer! It feels a bit tacky at first but dries down fast & only 2 drops does my entire face!
I love Mac face and body. I found that if you squeeze some on to your fingertips and rub it together until it thickens, and then apply it to your face by rubbing and patting, I get a beautiful finish 😊
Protect your lips and eyelids! There are MANY SPF's out there that you can put on your lips and lids. Elta MD is great for both areas. Melanoma can and will take your lips and eyelids. Make sure you're using the right amount of SPF on your face -- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp and wait at least a full 10 minutes before you prime.
Yes!! I use Innisfree SPF 36 and it's such a beautiful formula and is one of the only sunscreens that do not sting my eyes. I apply my sunscreen in two layers, including eyelids, and I have a separate lip balm with SPF that I use for my lips. Also, Black Girl Sunscreen (BGS) is incredible as well and doesn't sting my (incredibly sensitive) eyes. I personally use the kids version of BGS but the original version is just as good.
I may need to try the mac face and body! I have used the stila convertible colors for blush for years the only problem is they do not last but I love the colors

i'm so happy you're getting into korean makeup! i've always referred to your videos whenever i buy products because we share the same skin type and for my choices to expand to the korean makeup industry is exciting! (p.s. i love the juicy pang blusher too so i already know i'm going to love everything you recommend)
watching this video reminds me that everyone used to apply foundation with our hands... why did we stop? because someone told us a brush/ sponge was better. That really depends.
I love you doing more light coverage looks and this new setup but I wish u could zoom in a little more sometimes on ur face when applying? It’s hard to see details
I am very new to your vids and I'm starting to wear makeup again after years of not really wearing any with being an at home mom. Still at home largely, but I'm interested in getting back to wearing makeup again. I picked up SAMPAR Glamour Shot in my latest FFF Edit Sale and was wondering if you had ever tested and/or used that and what you thought of it. Also, I'm naturally open to info from others.
I’m so excited for this video! I’ve been dying to see an all cream base routine from you! Can’t wait for the next YesStyle haul too! I’m definitely binging Korean beauty right now.
the kosas concealer runs extremely yellow in all of the shades! but it’s my new holy grail concealer!! only concealer i will be purchasing and i LOVE that it’s clean :)
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but the absolute best way to get the most out of face & body is by rubbing a bit of the product between to yours hands, whether that's between your fingers or in your palm, until it starts to become almost stiff and kind of thick feeling. This sometimes takes a few seconds but then you can press it in and you get the BEST coverage and wear. I used to work for MAC too and when one of our trainers showed us this it was absolutely life changing and completely changes the way F&B goes on and wears. Something about warming the product up makes it sit so beautifully on the skin. Give it a try, it's worth the few seconds of extra effort!!
For someone with dry and textured skin I thought I'd give this a try instead of using my regular beautysponge, because I've noticed that my skin has been a bit off even with products I love after just a few hours wear, and it just always end up looking cakey around my chin and lower lip. Judging by the first application I can say never going back to sponges. My skin has Never looked so natural and smooth with foundation on! It legit looks like skin. Thank you for this video Taylor. 🙏
If you warm up face and body in your hands first it goes on much easier it warms up the product and kind of melts it into your skin..Shelby Wilson has done a ton of videos on how to apply face and body
I always used to apply foundation with my hands and when I started watching your videos it prompted me to try a brush, haha I'm lowkey obsessed with the full coverage finish of a brush xD...
I just did a similar video on my channel where I did my full face of makeup without using any brushes just my hands only and to apply my cream bronzer I used the palm of my hand instead of my fingers and it really helps to blend it out if you don’t want to go back in with foundation to blend it out. But I loved the way your makeup turned out! And I love the MAC face and body foundation, it’s one of my favs!
This was a fun video Taylor.....I know you’ve been working hard to have content up while you’re having your surgery. Please don’t feel like you have to keep your regular schedule while recuperating. 😊 I can remember when I first started wearing makeup I used my hands to put on my foundation and concealer. Also the only “brushes “ I had were the ones that came with the product....omg looking back it was awful. If you had a compact powder and it came of course with a sponge or round cotton applicator. Did we wash them? Nope we kept using them until the compact was empty and threw it away. Looking back eewwwwwwww I just can’t imagine how I did that. Love ya! 😘
Heard of the pallete tag?? Would love to see yours. Also heard about two others you might find fun. Emily Noel came up with one along the premise of an imaginary Sephora haul. What would you put in your cart if money was unlimited? The other I saw today from Gemma on Pampered Wolf. She said Charlotte Holdcroft created it. It's a foundation tag. 10 foundations, one for each scenario. Gemma was funny with it. I know you would have some really great opinions on foundations. I've been telling all of my favorite content creators.
Pampered Wolf spreads so much misinformation regarding skincare. She's ridiculous and I don't recommend her or anyone who spreads misinformation as if they're facts.
Thank you for all the tips! I have a lot of cream products lately added to my collection but I’m at a loss for how to use them. I’ve used them twice and used brushes the first time, sponges the next. Wasn’t too impressed with how it looked. I’m definitely going to try again with my fingers. I used to use my fingers for years when I was younger. I’m 59 now and have forgotten how to apply with my hands 😂
if you're feeling cream blushes lately, have you tried applying with the thick part of your palm? years ago illamasqua released gel blush sticks, and some video showing how the artist liked to smear the blush on the.. like.. bottom of their thumb? the thick, fleshy outer part of the palm, tap them together to warm up product, and bounce the blush on that way. it looks and sounds really strange, but i've been doing it ever since- cream blushes come out nicely applied and diffused with just a few taps. i believe they also used the sides of their actual thumb for contour, but i've never tried.
I'd love to see a video of summer-friendly foundations that don't melt off the face half way through the day. Might try Mac Face and Body. It looks so good on you! 🔥
I use mostly only cream products cuz my skin is super dry but I never like they say it looks with fingers I think it’s a lot quicker with a sponge and gives me that moisture that I need.
The new Kylie cosmetics collection with Kendall Jenner has this blotting powder that has a creme like consistency which would’ve been good for this video to use as powder. No reviews are out yet and I’m so intrigued. Also I love you Taylor!❤️
Watching your video on my Birthday is the best gift 😍 it always feels like a friend sharing some cool stuff with me and not like the big beauty gurus just trying to sell something or showing how rich they are. That’s why you’re my favorite 💕
I wore face and body on my wedding day and it lasted all day, through dancing, sweating, hugging, and it even rained that day. One of my all time faves. I rub it between my palms until you hear it thicken then apply it all over my face.
I was so excited to get the Mac face and body. Kept hearing the shade match was super good but N1 is too dark for me. I can blend it well if I have my hair down but I can’t wear it with my hair up 😩 I wish they made other shades
I'm surprised to know the Mac Face and Body isn't that glowy! That's what's been holding me back from getting it. I do like a dewy look but in our humid climate, I can never make it work, so satin finishes are what I look for. Thanks for the vid Taylor! 🖤🖤🖤
With mac face and body I never find that I need to wipe off my hands, I just do my neck last and use whatever is left on my fingers on my neck and I find that there's really no product left on them. I also have some freckles on the back of my hands so if I have no redness on my neck from shaving I will just pat the left over on the back of my hands.
I can’t even explain how excited I am for this 😍😍😍 I’m so glad that cream products are coming more into the mainstream- as a person with dry, sensitive skin- I LOVE cream & liquid products! Combined with a Taylor video is LIIIIIIIFE ! ❤️❤️❤️
Entire beauty community: Drama and people adressing the drama.
Taylor: let's apply the foundation with our hands YEAHHHH!!
Hope you never change
I know right ❣️ I not only can relate to her very, very much, but I also love how she is drama free!!!! Breath of fresh air 💗💕

if you're feeling cream blushes lately, have you tried applying with the thick part of your palm? years ago illamasqua released gel blush sticks, and some video showing how the artist liked to smear the blush on the.. like.. bottom of their thumb? the thick, fleshy outer part of the palm, tap them together to warm up product, and bounce the blush on that way. it looks and sounds really strange, but i've been doing it ever since- cream blushes come out nicely applied and diffused with just a few taps. i believe they also used the sides of their actual thumb for contour, but i've never tried.
I swear by Canmake, it's my HG sun protection 👌
Love how your skin looks!! Glowing and gorgeous
Taylor, have you tried Mac Studio Waterweight foundation and concealer?
I love this look!
I love this! What I am all about especially summertime right now. What drugstore foundation would you use with this method? 🤔👀
I think this is my favorite your makeup has ever looked!! I mean you always look beautiful but i love less coverage
You look like a Greek goddess in this video with the white tie sleeve top and the gold necklaces!
I adore that SPF and it's really a problem because I have older ones that I really should be using but the Canmake is just so goooood😅
I really love this look! Soft and fresh, perfect for summer😊
I can’t even explain how excited I am for this 😍😍😍
I’m so glad that cream products are coming more into the mainstream- as a person with dry, sensitive skin- I LOVE cream & liquid products! Combined with a Taylor video is LIIIIIIIFE ! ❤️❤️❤️
Wet n Wild setting spray is so good and makes your make up last all day. I just wish it came in a larger size.
