- In this video, we take our boat to Eshamy Bay in Alaska's Prince William Sound to spearfish red salmon in the salt water. We also demonstrate the difference between red salmon and pink salmon. Red Salmon, also known as Sockeye, are plentiful during the summer months and this year (2024) we had a very large and healthy red salmon return in South Central Alaska. We also encounter a lot of jellyfish.
Amazing footage of the salmon underwater. I can’t wait to try this next summer. Pretty sure it is way harder than you make it look!!
It can be difficult but it’s totally doable. Biggest problem I encountered was poor water visibility. If you can’t see well under water, try again another day. Sometimes the water visibility is bad.
Awesome video! I've always wanted to try that, seems like it would be fun! Too bad the King runs have been horrible, or that would be cool to try as well!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the comment!
Looks like we should go out diving together. 🤙🤙
Stalking black bass and lingcod is some of my favorite spearfishing.
Have you guys taken a level one freediving course?
I am advanced dive certified but I need to take some free dive courses. I would love to spearfish black bass and lingcod.
Fire engine red!
are you even allowed to spearfish I'm a Canadian can't spear them here
Yes you can spearfish if you are in the ocean. I would be totally roasted if I posted videos doing illegal fishing.
@@AK-Born-and-Raised I figured you were most likely allowed to spear them I just knew in Canada you are royally screwed if caught spearing salmon in ocean or river.
