I'm really curious to hear the first episode! I've also always enjoyed listening to Bruce and his opinions on topics that aren't really related to Iron Maiden.
I loved Iron Maiden, still do. But I can't help but wonder if they (and many other bands) were not destroying a good society. They might have found Christians annoying but compared to the moral mess we are in now I wonder if these bands shock treatment of society didn't help create the nihilism and self destructiveness that's seeping through society. Or,... maybe they were a manifestation of a deeper underlying issue back then?
Late reply, but an interesting point. I actually feel the opposite. Most metal fans are not nihilistic at all, they just want to have a good time with a little escapism now and again, which the music provides. Punk was more political and anti-establishment in that respect, and while there are overlaps, generally metal isn't very political and has more of a theatrical aspect. Put it this way, Mozart and Beethoven etc were considered shocking in their time, so it's just a matter of perspective.
The imagery, Eddy, their covers, some titles recall to a period that was the 80’s but it was an imagery that was all around us from music to TV to Cinema; what it matters to fans is the music and the lyrics and none of it is satanic. We choose to listen to them cause they play very good music and write good lyrics about society problems, history, moments of people’s lives; listening to the Iron Maiden today is as constructive as reading a good book or as listening to a classic like Beethoven, Vivaldi, Paganini, not to mention that many of their songs have deep Christian meanings like “For the Greater Good of God” just to make an example. We should enjoy musicians like these now cause there are no rock emergent musicians that have the knowledge nor the will to learn how to play a guitar, drums, keyboard piano, etc. I have listened to many new emerging bands trying to find something good but no one of them knows how to play a guitar solo for example. During the 70’s and 80’s there were no smartphones and no videogames and guys would reunite to play sports or music in their garages and it is thanks to those revolutionary geniuses that today we have such a legacy of good music and technology but tomorrow?
Yeah, so that means because a lot more people went to church then that tells you that that many more people have turned to Satanism though they don’t think it’s Satanism they think they’re just doing what they wanna do is actually the definition of Satanism Satanist, even the leader of the church says it’s not about worshiping the devil it’s about doing what you wanna about worshiping yourself?
In Chile in the 90's, when democracy "supposedly" returned after Pinochet, the Catholic Church prohibited Iron Maiden from entering the country for being a satanic group... life gives us surprises, today Maiden is the band that more audience has had in the country, a record… being Chile the country with the most fans per capita of the band in the world… incredible
As my mothers late boyfriend once said "Satan sells, man. Take venom when venom came out said they weren't satanists it was just to sell records, they lost a lot of fans."
i am a christian to but religion is supposed to lead to spirituality and that's what leads you to GOD just religion by itself is worldly and the spiritual people now that maiden helps a lot of people through music the just religion people don't know any better
I agree, as an agnostic. These are just symbols, anyway. Just because someone uses the symbol of Satan doesn't mean they unilaterally believe in all elements that Satan represents, including those viewed as "evil" traditionally - in the same way that just because someone uses and spreads Christian imagery, doesn't mean they unilaterally believe in every literal thing the Bible speaks of. Otherwise, things like slavery, which is sometimes justified within the Bible, would be entirely supported by Christians.
no, thank you. I stopped listening to Iron since I realised the entire pro-Satan world we now live in. I refuse to, one less client to your band, Mr. Dickinson.

Yeah, those chileans also think/act like they are Germans. Very little cultural roots there.
@@jungleman2625 Chile is still a great country.
How to personally become a "PSYCHOPATH" without kiling a person, just hurting their feelings ?
Do you accept to answer questions from listeners?
As my mothers late boyfriend once said "Satan sells, man. Take venom when venom came out said they weren't satanists it was just to sell records, they lost a lot of fans."
"you can't get more anti-establishment than Satan" - Oh, the irony.
Actually established in many ways is Satan.
The establishment is, indeed, very satanic @axelanderthegreat
mc brain said he is a new born christian
His explanation. The very first person who spoke --was so ignorant about how dangerous that is It’s playing with fire

"You can't get any more anti-establishment than Satan." Lulz.

Satan is the good guy.
No, satan is the liar that put humanity in this state of disgrace and death.
He and his followers will pay for it very soon
Satan= Santa😂
Satan has no good in him!
