Lucy had spoken before about this subject. Some of the BSG cast was freaking out about her coming to the show. To the point some of them didn't even wanted to talk/interact with her on the first week. She had heard that some of the cast tough she was getting paid a milion dolars and that she was hired to replace someone and change the direction of the show. When she knew about this preconception she started to raze them a little bit but eventually she quited doing that. After a while they started to get along fine. It seems to me that the fear of leacking information made the producers be ultra secretive about the plot and even the actors didn't knew any information of the direction of the show in advance and that may had helped created this insecurity in the cast when Lucy appeared.
A town in Norway in a valley got so little daylight in winter they put mirrors on the mountain top and used computers to have them focus sunlight in the center of the town
Dark and depressing is Vancouver in the winter though i for one love the rain and gray. :) I also believe it set the actors in that gloom doom frame of mind to produce the greatest sci fi series ever made
From my perspective, There was a bleak atmosphere on the BG set for most episodes until they filmed on location in an outdoor setting. I am not criticizing the show's producers or set designers for the Galatica's tight quarters atmosphere.
People who do not live in countries with long dark winters do not get it. I live in Scotland. Winters are damp, dark and cold. Most of the time, the sky is grey, dampness gets into the bones. Daylight is in short supply.

I miss Xena😢
Reminds me of all the stories about the differences between TNG and DS9 sets.

@ this is so funny because it’s true 😂

I agree it made being stuck on a ship indefinitely looking for earth more realistic

I think that was deliberate. Going for a claustrophobic feel

Did spot the peacekeeper symbol over there?
Make more scifi both of you please. Another life was excellent. Katie should do space 1999.
Is this Katie's channel or someone just airing her name ?
It's her channel, she does podcasts and interviews. Have a look through it, she's also got other bits .
@ptonpc I will , thanks for the heads up

if lucy wanted bright shiny sets, but in space, she might have asked ron moore to put her in star trek instead 😄
Everything in space wants to kill you.
