Butcher box is super expensive. I have bought probably 4 super large boxes when sale didn’t go through the first time (so I thought) and it double ordered my order. They would not correct it. The bill was 800 dollars. Be patient when ordering online.

    Hi Kimmy,
    Here's a cheese tip for you. 🧀
I find that when I shred my cheese, especially if I am mixing two kinds together for a pizza, nachos or a casserole etc.. the cheese tends to want to clump and/or stick together just like you had mentioned so what I find that works "grate" (LOL) is that I'll grab my can of Grated Parmesan Cheese and I'll sprinkle that on top of the shredded cheese and toss it together and then when I go to sprinkle it on something, the cheese no longer clumps because it's coated in cheese so there isn't anything other than cheese that I'm using.
The Parmesan adds to the taste of the cheese(s) that I am using, whatever they might be but it doesn't overpower or take away from the taste of the cheese I'm using.
I like your idea of using cornstarch but I thought I would share what I do with regards to cheese clump-age 🤣

My mom always froze blocks cheese, she would set it on the counter until defrosted completely and then put in fridge, that way it doesn't crumble.

One jar of mayo lasts us about 6 months! We just use it for tuna sandwiches on Friday :) I made the mistake of buying a back up once and it passed the date before I needed it. Lesson learned! Now I only buy one when the jar is low! Every family needs to know what they use specifically unique to them :) You said that but I'm just repeating it. Lol. So important! xoxo

I shred cheese and keep it in the freezer all the time. Just shred it, spread it out on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and pop in the freezer for a few hours. It keeps the shreds separate when you put it put the cheese into a freezer bag. We go through cheese so fast that what's in the fridge doesn't have a chance to clump up, lol.

Fun outings for the family is to find a pick your own farm. We have a berry farm near us that we have been going to for years. They also trade with other local farms to have other produce when you go to weight and pay. They also have several hives on site so we get the areas pollen immunities from a local source. It's all family run now with 4 generations currently helping. Good luck on your hunt for great produce and fun!

I finally found a Kroger with refrigerated foods after we had the bad storms, possibly tornado(s), in Houston TX. I bought a pork shoulder for 97 cents a pound ( sale ends May 21st I believe). I paid $8-9 for an 8-9 pound roast. Yeah. I told my husband not missing out on this one. We picked up some of the other buy 5 sales.

Nectarines are my thing. In California, they start coming off in May and last usually till July. We are big melon eaters, except watermelon.
I'm not sure where the oranges you're getting in July are from. They have to be coming from overseas. Citrus doesn't come until October through January in California. Mandarins should wait for the 1st frost to get the sweetest fruit. There are a couple of different types of lemon trees that produce 2 to 3 times a year.
Our family takes full advantage of all farm-fresh fruits and veggies. I couldn't tell you the last time I had strawberries from the store.

Hope that helps you. ❤ the paper bag takes all the frost and not the bag of buns. I have also put my freezer things in cardboard boxes too. Both ways work great for me.
