- The quick-thinking nurse who saved a passenger having a heart attack at an airport is speaking out. Claire Cerbie was at the airport in North Carolina waiting to board her morning flight when she looked over and saw a man who she believed was in distress. Cerbie and other good Samaritans put Ken Jeffries on the ground and started CPR. Jeffries was rushed to the hospital where he had emergency surgery to open an artery that was 80% blocked. Thankfully, the 63-year-old man survived.
Good for her. Learning CPR is so important
Should be mandatory in schools even if it’s a once a year, it definitely refreshes the brain about it and teaching so many on how to do it is important
Wow, bless this nurse and the man she saved!!
He's lucky. My Dad dropped in the very hospital I worked for and was given 7% chance. He woke up a few days later for 1 hour. Machines running his body. He could barely speak. I just held that cold hand and told him I loved him and reassured him he was a great Dad. He was still able to crack a little smile. He died a day later.
My dad passed in the kitchen while cooking food with his brother in the other room. Not all of us get to say goodbye but glad you got to.
Yeap, my Dad wasn't feeling well and had a headache. Laid down on the couch. Was pronounced dead 1 hour later due to an aneurysm.
Was really healthy. Smoked when he was in the Navy, but stopped in his 20s. Had 1 or 2 drinks a night, but never got drunk. Exercised his whole life and was always very slender.
Was in his early 70s, so a bit too soon, but lived a full life.
@@S1RLANC3 I'm sorry. You just never know when. It's a hard lesson in losing a loved one. He's cooking upstairs now
@@HKim0072 my buddy in college had the same thing happen to him as well. Playing video games controller still in hands. Miss him
If I was there and if it sounded like somebody was normally snoring I would just assume they fell asleep thank god this Nurse was there to save this Man
God bless the nurses!
Shes a sweetheart
People please...please learn CPR!! I lost my 44 yr old brother who was a athlete and was surrounded by people and a defibrillator and no one took action for over 8 minutes, He never had a fighting chance.😭
Why put your trauma in here? What does it have to do with this?
First aid should be taught in school. Together with basic finance, cooking and cleaning. Things we will use for the rest of our lives.
@@jmtradbr couldn’t agree more!
@@RedNestheNightmareEntity So people can save others like the 1 in this video. It's an example of what would happen if no one does anything. Don't be slow.
@@RedNestheNightmareEntity
because it’s relevant? It’s an example of why we should learn CPR?
Glad you're here, Ken! Thank you Claire❤

Good job, nurse! 💪
Thank you Ray
Salute! Just by hearing how the man asleep in a busy airport.
Hero!
My dad has the Widowmaker 17 years ago and he’s doing so good now. His stent from that attack is holding up. He had it outside of a hospital and my mom rushed him to the ER. The doctors told him if he’d taken an ambulance he’d have died. I’m grateful every day that those doctors prevented 6 year old me from losing my dad.
I was literally just in Charlotte airport lols 😂how funny! Running and jogging for my life to my gate.
Very glad that the patient made it out alive. He is extremely lucky. He was literally at deaths door 🚪
I was also there beginning of June. I'm thankful my gate was 2 gates down from where I landed
@@lauriefaithprescott you’re very lucky. My gate was on the opposite side of the Building.
@@juanakravitz3024 yikes I hope u wore sneakers like I did..I was prepared to sprint
@@lauriefaithprescott LOL I did. Thankfully I'm a track sprinter so that would have been no issue for me. Expect dodging people 🤣
thank you nurse whoever You ard for safeing the passenger / parients lide
Thank you ❤
Right place right time god bless this woman
Amazing stuff - I had a 90% block and walked around with it for 3 weeks before a stent could be inserted. That was 6 years ago.
Omg, So glad she was there for you Ken!!!!
❤🇧🇿💖🇺🇸🔥 blessings, thanks you all so much 🙏 !
A artery that was 80% blocked? Geez that's a miracle for sure. God bless that nurse quick thinking.
get well soon Ken Jeffreys
I wonder how much the medical bill was?🤔🤔
Yeah, he'll probably have another heart attack when he sees the bill
@@SUGAR_XYLER I'm sure insurance will take care of it. You think surgeons go through all that school and stress to save your crappy heart if they weren't paid the big bucks?
I heard one time where a guy from Canada went to travel to the U.S but then he had a heart attack and the medical bill we got was huge.Unfortunately his Canadian insurance refused to pay it and so he had to pay the bill himself, it’s only in the U.S that you can experience something like this. 😒
Great job 👏 nurse 👩⚕️!!!
Bless their hearts ❤️

This is same that Jerry the King Lawler had .
Forget is there a doctor here?! It’s now is there a nurse here?!
That guy is 63 as of 2024 luckily he survived the incident that happened to him in the plane. And wait he was already 63 years old now. So let’s do the math so 2024 - 63 years old = born in 1961.

What a lukewarm thank you for having your life saved. I think I would have been a bit more gracious with that thank you, it was kind of "matter-a-factly." She wasn't even on call. Kinda remarkable she did that in a non hospital setting. And the fact that he needed to be connected through her by Inside Edition and he hasn't thanked her earlier is just even more strange.
